Taking into consideration what I’ve read above. How about this:
Give the Imp. Chaparral in the US tree the MIM-72G as the upgrades were made in the 80s (National guard units were the only ones using them at that point but meh).
2)Update ALL FIM-92K carrying vehicles to properly reflect the fact that the K version is a DATALINK capable version of the FIM-92J, this upgrade series included better programming and the addition of a Proximity fuse as proven:
Chapter 3^
Add the missing vehicles/modifications to those vehicles:
Bradley Linebacker (DATALINK capable), AN/TWQ-1 Avenger, M1265A1 SHORAD Stryker (DATALINK capable)
OPTIONAL but possible:
Add the HAWK system with a single self propelled carrier with 3 missiles towing the tracking radar. You can use the ammo system currently implemented to give you a total of 6 missiles. https://history.redstone.army.mil/miss-hawk.html
Reward us for successfully intercepting ATGMs, ASMs, and the like. (same payout as slapping a recon drone)
Truthfully? I would much rather have the Chappie than the ADATs, the Israeli Imp. Chaparral carries the FIM-92G as it’s upgraded missile. Basically a Sidewinder with the stingers guidance package and IRCCM.
The stingers in game are… underwhelming to say the least when trying to slap drones or small helicopters, no prox fuse (even though the K is a datalinked J unit), poor maneuvering due to improper modeling, among other “under the hood” issues.
Close equivalent would be SLAMRAAM. even then not so much. US uses C-RAM and theater defenses and MANPADS for a lot of air defense. It leads for a real lack of need for something like a PANTSIR.
Fire rate is the main thing for War Thunder, the M230 as found on the AH-64 has an RPM of 600, the 230LF (XM914) has a fire rate of 200RPM, The M914 also has a round encoder for smart ammo(compare what is supported for the AH-64 and Sgt. Stout), uses linked belts, and has an optional dual feeding system to permit optimal target engagement instead of being forced to rely on whatever ratio was loaded in the tray in that order.
Israeli Chaparral is legitimately useless at top tier.
Can’t lock drones whatsoever
Can’t lock helicopters beyond 1-2km (and can’t hit Heli’s with IRCM whatsoever)
Can’t lock aircraft beyond 3-5km depending on aspect, making it effectively useless against all top CAS.
Caged seeker (Like Aim-9B/D size levels of awful) so basically impossible to hit closer range targets that aren’t directly flying towards or away from you.
Super Smokey motor to let every aircraft not only know a missile is coming, but where it was fired from to perform SEAD duty.
I and many other Israeli players, have dropped Chaparral from my lineup in favour of Machbet, which is also fairly useless, but at least it has the VADS for dealing with Ka-52 rocket rushing, which chaparral is borderline defenceless against.
Even playing Chappie at its own BR, things like A-6 / A-10 just bully it with impunity.
Yes, some ways or another they are not the same or equivalent true . But the problem still remain. What can there be that USA can use to level the playing field? Depending on other players playing other countries for their AA systems may not always be a viable solution.
What about the MML?(multi mission launcher) I read that it can carry hellfires , aim 9x and also tamir missiles which have a maximum range of 17km? The tamir has a maximum g pull of 30g or more and a speed of 3.3 mach. And if USA has it, of course Israel can have it too. Considering that’s their iron dome system missile
this is the best and most balance spaa tbh with Ethier aim120a/c5 16km or the
Amaram-ER with 50km max range (25km to 30km on fast moving planes 50km is the maximum range missile can go) it would actually not be op and as the on sight guided missile because you can notch and chaff them unlike SACLOAS missile on pantsir s1and i want every country to get there arh spaa not only usa
