EDIT: As far as the HUMVEE goes. It’s better in my opinion since it’s small and you can hide in high places easier. Only downside is the trailer being a pain.

Also, the US is the only nation in game wich doesnt have a single AAA system used in their army, Germany has the IRIS-T, Russia has the 2S6, the Strela, the Tor, the Pantsir, the Buk-M3, the UK has the Sky SabreJapan has the Type 93, the Type 81, the Tan-Sam Kai, and the Type 03; China has the Tor and its modernized version and the HQ11; Italy has the Otomatic and the FSAF SAMP; France has the FSAF SAMP (Mamba); and Sweden has the ELDE98 and the nasams3 in their platform not like the one in the US that doesnt even use her real platform and Israel has the SPYDER.

That’s why I asked for clarification on what you posted on your topic because saying “Modern AAs” is a very broad topic. On top of that saying US tech failed like the CLAWs is also a VERY broad statement because US projects can fail from funding, interest, administration changes, or just plain out eh whatever lets get some money out the door on something new. In game the CLAWs is more than a capable AA and the NASAMs is just peak in my opinion regardless if it’s US or not. As far as saying adding US specific AA’s to top tier and then stating OP is usually the reason it wasn’t added but regardless US is more than fine at top tier and in my opinion the only nation tied with Germany as best top tier nation.
Apart from Germany having the best anti air at top tier the IRST right now US is second.
The f35 would be the better pick, afaik they use them more than the f22 because theres more of em.
First of all, by now you should now vehicles added to the game are by balancing reasons, not by date of IRL service.
Second, US already has the LAV AD which its more modern (1995) and better than the Avenger (1988).
Third, M-Shorad its a vehicle like the LAV AD, but with hellfires, which from the size of the maps it wouldnt work launched from a ground vehicle.
The only thing kinda good from the spyder its the p5, and derby just has such short range, not even derby er will save this thing (it should be in lower br).
Fourth, once again, patriot its not yet added bc of balancing reasons, which should come along with s300/s400 and not big enough maps.
The only thing I agree to you its that russia does not need another spaa, but us doesnt need it also.

While NASAMS 3 is very recent and is in USA service, which completely answer your question of “When the US will have modern anti-air systems”, in real life NASAMS 3 is something completely different from a Patriot for example. Just because there’s few numbers doesn’t means it It’s not in service;
Systems like NASAMS 3 and others are very expensive to build and mantain. The recent events in the middle east shows very clearly that despite low numbers, these systems are very effective painting a huge target on themselves like the AN/FPS-132 Block 5. Saying USA in War Thunder is lacking modern anti-air is misleading, and it might get even stronger with the introduction of 5th-generation airplanes (emphasizing F-22 Raptor as a proper air superiority fighter).
