Personally I use ADATS more than slamraam cuz LDIRCM doesnt work on it and it doesn’t give off a radar warning

ADATS missile has far too little kinetic potential to be useful combined with iirc recently-ish they removed the flare so you also can’t see the missile anymore.

I don’t think USA is done dirty in terms of anti-air. Their systems (aside from patriot i guess) aren’t really well suited to meta of the game, if you will. At least that’s what I think it is.

Their military doctrine was set on having air superiority, grinding the enemy down from the air, supporting land units and making their job easier. USSR/Russia knew this was a thing and they invested in mobile SAM systems to protect their land forces from that threat in case of a war. As a result they have a crap ton of AA systems in their tech tree.

On the flipside USA has/had superb air power and it was somewhat reflected in the game until the last 9-12 months.

While you are right, Gaijin doesn’t care about military doctrine. They’re going to add another spaa (Giga-Pantsir) to Russia this update making it the most stacked top tier AA lineup in war thunder. If they cared about doctrine they would have added anti radiation munitions in the game a long time ago as a counter ( though I don’t know how they would function in game).

Now I’ll agree CAS is still OP for most nations but the US is clearly lagging behind the rest (slower missiles, glide bombs that are easily shot down and AA systems that are frankly not on par with the competition) but they buffed Russia with the Kh-38mt giving them a formidable SPAA/CAS combo.

Not all bad though. There are hints of SLAM-ER on the files so we’ll see I guess. May the snail bless us next update or the one after or the one after…
