Ok the insanely good radar with decent missiles decent amount of flares and chaff and is manuverable
Idc that the snail took your soul with that ton of hours played

The AIM-7F really isn’t that much stronger than the R-24R in practice, and in the fights within Nuclear Thunder, it’s often worse. For example, the AIM-7F is worse at pulling hard in a turn and struggles to outspeed the R-24 at closer distances around 10km~. The F-4J/S actually has fewer countermeasures than the F-4E. And the radar on the F-4J/S is basically just the F-4E’s setup with Pulse-Doppler on it.
You’re spoiled because the F-4E can’t even lock anything below 1km if you’re looking even a little bit down, while the MiG-23 handles that stuff no problem thanks to its MTI radar. On top of that, you get the R-24T, which is an insanely strong IR missile for the BR with way better countermeasure resistance, whereas the event F-4E Phantoms are stuck with AIM-9Ls. Even the F-4S tops out at rear-aspect AIM-9Gs for its best IR option despite being BR 12.0.
Which is why you’re over here whining about the F-4J/S having a usable radar, unlike the F-4E. You don’t listen to facts, and you act like a brick wall.
Did you ever think, for even a single moment, that you might have a Skill Issue?
So the rewards (for ground pound) are supposed to be better now? What a joke!
Winning the match and being the MVP while just receiving around 4300SL per minute with premium is atrocious.
Gaijin just wanted to nerf the rewards, even though they were already a bit worse than AirRB when taking into account the time spent in the match.
Ruined it with this to be honest, A-A sucks now
You know multipath only works below 30mts, right?
this has not aged well event now unplayable…you die more to spaa that players how are people gonna get points to spawn in nukes to do the ground poundin which you can only do with nukes…
Read my edit at the top of that reply. It was made over an hour ago, bold text, orange and green text. It was there before you made your reply here.
I always leave my original messages up for context, I am not hiding my original message. That’s what the “Edit” section is for. The most I will ever do is minimize my original message behind a spoiler tag, but I never delete my original words.
Below 30m is the “optimal” height. The effect starts at 60m. I said 55m because I have set my radar altimeter warning to 55m to ensure that I am always below 60m.
Furthermore, in this map at 30m you very often crash into the trees. Many of the tree’s visual size and physical size do not match. There are “ghost” limbs/trunks that stick up higher than they do visually.
Gaijin, whatever you did to the SAMs in this event is absurd. They were already way too hard to defeat, now they are totally on crack. They’re still tracking me through hills, and especially trees, but somehow now the Osa is firing MULTIPLE interceptors at multiple different targets at the same time? What!!! I dropped eight GBU-39s at an Osa, it shot down all eight and still killed me from 8km away while it was shooting down the GBU-39s. This is insane… you cannot dodge these missiles, if they have line of sight of you, you are dead.
To add: Osas and Rolands are wicked old systems with mechanically scanned array radars… while they can shoot down some projectiles, they are not designed for this nor are they very good at. The hit rate of these projectiles should be low, and the detection of them should not be instantaneous aimbot. It should take time to appear and be identified on radar.
Tu-95, powered by Tsar bomba!
The Event feels dull and boring now. At first I loved the new game mode. Now it’s a real pain to play. But as always… Gaijin would you just fix it once for the sake…
I actually like the balance changes from this patch in concept as I mentioned earlier, but yeah after playing the update the rewards for ground are still not good enough especially with the general difficulty of AA just makes it incredibly painful. I can’t stand playing this game mode anymore and think I’m giving up on the stars.
Increasing score for ground pounding I think is a step in the right direction. Hopefully players will be a bit more spread out, and we will see intercepting of cas and more players trying to escort (aka use as bait) their friendly cas planes.
The 2v2 or 3v3 fights in this mode are super fun, (assuming they are not interrupted by AA) and I wish we had more of that rather than the boring death ball in the middle.
The key problem tho is that ground pounding is NOT fun in its current state. Even if you made ground pounding give 10x more score, it still isn’t fun.
The problem is that if you want to attack a convoy, first you have to bring do sead, kill the AA, fly back to base, grab a plane with mavericks (or similar), and by the time you come back more AA has spawned in a new convoy and is now protecting the existing convoy.
It also takes so many sorties to kill depot AA, and the whole time, that depot is spawning more AA in convoys.
A player never gets to ground pound, only SEAD, and the AA is so strong that there is only one viable way to kill it (HARM baiting). Ground pounding really is super unfun.
If you can’t change the ai behaviour, swap the convoy AA for less lethal gun based platforms, and give the depots no more than 2 FLAKpanz/OSAs.
Additionally, I think buildings respawning is very unfun. It means you can never actually clear out a section of the map, and the frontline never feels like it moves.
I don’t think this is quiet the good change to lower the points you get with air kills… Now it’s even harder to get a B-52 or Tu-95 just to get shot down… And then you lower the overall-points when no 1,5 or 1,6Mt bomb is dropped… Well yes, now there will be even less chances one of those will get dropped. Not a good change in my opinion. But more points for ground targets is great!
You only noticed that killing ground units gives higher points, but you didn’t realize that the airport is farther away, the layout of the air defense missile systems becomes more scattered. In other words, a ground-based nuclear strike takes longer, and fewer AI units are killed. This is a comprehensive weakening of both PVP and PVE.
In my experience que times are even worse. Ussr is good but usa used to be ok at the lower BR bracket and horrific at the higher BR bracket. Now it’s really bad at both BR brackets for the US.
The freaking gaijin cant hide its greed to money anymore, they just cannot tolerate any chance that a player can achive their goal with ease.
while AA is already unexpectedly good at intercepting all kinds of msl including SEAD msl, they now buff AA even more to shoot down players, no one can live around front line for 2-3 mins, not to say rushing to anywhere deeper, nuke mode become a sh*t hole as they wish.
i know u just want our money, stop pretending ur balancing the game.
Cracked AI now stop anyone getting as many kills as the moved AF has made it so the fights are happening where the AI dont stop firing their ratflak and OSA, so less RP here added to less per kill and the pathetic RP the AI gives. Cracked AI also stop nuke runs better than ever so less RP here too… all in all it equates to the worst game mode Iv ever played.
Name me a game where the AI have this much power in a PVP game… yes you cant as nobody is on Gaijins level of greed so there isnt one anywhere near
The joining half done/ nearly ended games is just the cherry on top when you get 8 mins crew lock. It can take hours to find a game you might get some kills at the start in before the game evolves into the inevitable bore fest. They should give everyone the planes for free at this point
This has got to be reverted. I was actually having fun and able to do things before, now I die without even scoring a single kill, ground or air. And, when I do, I get basically nothing from it. It just drains my SL all for nothing.
