You don’t have to buy ‘another one’, since you should be swapping parts in and our individually (unless you’ve made the mistake to buy a gaming laptop). But your GPU is fine. Your VRAM is not the issue with the resolution you’re playing at.

Finishing Unpainted camo grind, it is barely playable due to intentionally nerfed BR and Engines, prolly worst birthday vehicle so far
7.9gb idle in the hanger. it never went above 6.4gb before the update. I should not have to make the game look worse to restore my fps because Gaijin wanted to make the graphics menu more minimalist and take features away from us. I used to be able to max heat haze and particles and leave effect res at medium and now the WHOLE unified slider has to be at medium to still be playable.

If i had it my way, they would have stopped selling 8GB cards years ago. Like we were running 8GB cards back in 2016. It’s just silly that Nvidia and co keep being stingy with the memory. But at the same time, game developers need to actually optimise their game and not just use memory for the sake of it.

They do it because of AI and general business applications.
They have buisniss version of the gamers card sitting at 2x- 10x the price just because of more memory.

Yeah, good point. Funny seeing the Chinese modifying their cards to have heaps of memory. This AI bubble needs to burst sooner or later.
Well, it wont. AI can and will replace a lot of workplaces and make other more efficient, saving the companies a shit ton of money. Same as robotics did. Even a robot arm fir 500.000k is cheaper that a cheap worker over 10 years + it can work all shifts.

Yayyyyyyyyyy the fps issue is getting worse. i am now running shadows at minimum and EfeCtS at minimum and am still losing fps. it seems wt refuses to use more than 56W on my gpu… my TDP is just slightly over 100W. cpu is sleeping at liek 19% at 4.9ghz thermals are gpu 48 and cpu is liek 52. Im kinda sus about whats causing this and this started right as i started playing the update. I feel like Gaijin are not telling us everything they are doing each patch. Im not alone, in discord im seeing a fair amount of people have my exact issue. Im done im gonna start collecting up pc components and build a proper desktop. You will buy a 12gb gpu for $800 in 2030. Lol imagine if the 80/90 cards in the future you won’t even be able to own nonononono you will lease them like a car.
The only legitimate usecase for A.I is signal processing and data sorting under heavy engineer/scientist surveilance. It’s useless for other use cases.
If you believe otherwise, grab your thesis or publication in a specialized field or anything equivalent, feed it to an LLM and ask it to tell you about your own research.
