MiG-27M, MiG-27K — a bug that caused ground vehicles in the HUD area to render in at distances much lower than at other directions has been fixed. (Report).
Patch notes reflect only key changes, meaning they may not include a complete list of all improvements made. Additionally, War Thunder is constantly being updated and some changes may not require an update. Changes reflected in patch notes are formed by taking reactions and requests of the community from the bug reporting service, forums and other official platforms into account. Bug fixes and changes are implemented in order of importance, for example a game-breaking bug will be worked on and implemented sooner.
why?
missles increase the effectiveness of an aircraft in air to air fights, since air to air fight is not the main target of the mode, the increase in cost is legit.
also aircrafts are to most groundvehicles, except SPAA, invulnerable therefore spawning just for air to air is quite an easy way to get kills, without putting yourself at greater risk, furthermore you do not realy support the advance at ground
If you are spawning in an aircraft, for the sole purpose of providing CAP. It already costs 500 SP vs an SPAA of only 70. Why do even IR missiles make it cost even more? If im spawning in an aircraft, for the purpose of shooting down other aircraft and not ground vehicles (which is the main reason for the SP cost) then why am i being punished for that.
AMRAAMs bump the cost up to 700+. That is 10x the cost of an SPAA , Of course no one would waste their SP on ever spawning in CAP.
i personally do not like aircrafts in the ground battle at all, reason is that most tanks cant effective damage them, while all tanks are indangered by them, also spawn cost for them can massively reduced by scouting
i am on your side with the point that CAP should be cheaper, but i think that should be solved by redesigning the whole CAS situation, with an option to spawn CAP for much cheaper, but making it impossible to attack ground if choosen the CAP role.
BUT in the current system SPAA are much cheaper because CAS is mostly spawned by the advancing side, making their advantage even bigger, therefore more expensive SPAA would make defense even harder for the loosing team
i know that for many my arguments are not that strong since many SPAA can also deal damage to tanks, which is in my opinion also a problem
Finaly word from me is:
There is an imbalance between capability of ground vehicles and CAS, in how many are threatening the other side, but also in the quantity, because CAS, especially in high and top tier, can carry that much ammunition than SPAA could defend, leading to SPAA not defending their teammates from munition but only focusing to kill aircraft.
This should be adressed but its a complex topic which is also heavly influenced by personal opinions, therefore the solutions never satisfy everyone
True… and CAS should cost generally 1200+ sp and have a limited amount of tank destroying stuff. Why is it allowed that they can carry more then 2x Computer aided ordinance? Why are they cheaper then the Attacker drone while being much much much much stronger?
