Unerf the F15E Engines

Why should american engines get nerfed becuase of its speed?

Wasn’t the nerf realistic?

AFAIK, it was ‘ADJUSTMENT’.
F-15E/I’s Speed in Dev was overperforming as f, so Gaijin nerfed those legitimately.

Because it could go Mach 2 in the dev and fly and turn away from every missile without losing speed?

the thrust on the 229 engine is still way to low, Especially now that the f-16 pobit has the 229 engine

thrust on a test bench is different to installed thrust

If you want them to “un-nerf” the engines

Go make a bug report

Installed thrust is about 15-10% lower iirc right?

I don’t thinks its generally that high its around the 5% for most aircraft in game I think, but the f15e and f15’s along side the mig29 have like a 20% loss although I might be confusing it with channel loss .

different per plane

The thrust was adjusted to real-life references.

The drag was adjusted to fix this

See here

The F-15E is at least performing as it should for the most part

Most aircraft in the game hover between 2% - 12%, with only the F-15s being on the higher end as an outlier around 20%.

didn’t realise it was only the f15 I swear at some point the mig29 was pretty off as well

The only nerf was above the altitude of 13,000 meters.
Are you trying to go mach 2.6 at 15,000 meters?

how dare you try and deny my completely unreasonable expectation of being a literal godamn satellite orbiting the map.

Compared to the drag nerf the engine nerf was pretty small wasn’t it? And both were pretty historical. I remember the devserver F-15E/I pulling 8G at 13km gaining speed at Mach 2.09 with a full load of missiles and ~50% fuel.

Patch day F-15E/I was something else

I miss it, a month of META right before the end times of the eurocanards.

MiG-29 also sits at significant channel loss, but F-15E is several % higher.
