We don’t need another USSR copy and paste

Maybe you’d actually read the suggestion?

Remember, T-80 started off as an upgraded T-64. Object 476 was the upgraded T-64, first to feature the 1000hp 6TD as a major part of the upgrade.
But was canned and the GTD-1000 would be selected for what would become the T-80 + a suspension similar to that of US’ M60 + inheriting most of T-64’s armor flaws.
What are you guys talking about…to begin with, I advise you to read the original of V.Chobitok 2005. the name is in the link…His father, V.A.Chobitok, was a lecturer at the department.
KVTIU tanks and had a number of author’s works on the suspension of tanks…V.Chobitok is also a well-known and controversial expert in the field of armored vehicles…
1.At T-64/T-80_Torsion bar suspension with hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers…
2.The M60A3 tubular-rod suspension replaced the M60A1 torsion bar suspension.A suspension similar to that of the M60A3 was used on the M1 Abrams tank.
One of the types of independent torsion bar suspension is tubular-rod.
This suspension was used in the ASU-57. In the undercarriage of the ASU-57, the rollers, as on the T-64,
are coaxially arranged, however, unlike the latter, two series
-connected torsion bars are used - a tubular one and a rod one located inside it.

New footage of T-80U tanks at the disposal of the 12th Brigade “Azov” with additional armor.
Interestingly, the senior mechanic of the 2nd tank platoon of the 1st tank company of the brigade’s tank battalion says that the vehicles are equipped with dynamic protection “Nizh”, although there was no confirmation before… perhaps the shape of the external containers (blocks) of the dynamic protection itself was changed.
Fun fact : there is TWO T-80U of the same modification
yea but I posted a normal comment yesterday … it also got removed
You can always ask Suggestion Mods in private to have some clarification.
In general you guys shouldn’t ask these questions here since it creates off-topic.
(Mind you that this is a Suggestion post, therefore Suggestion Mods will handle things, not Forum Mods).
VAB Mk3 6x6 specifically … which makes it more interesting
coz its an export only series and is much different from the original VAB platform even though sharing the same name
I’m gonna post more photos of the T-80 featuring Nizh-1M ERA shortly, still editing them.
As for the VAB Mk. 3, what combat module is that? “Sich”?
Same one as on the BMP-1TS.
Ah the Spys-Syntez combat module. Gotcha. That’s sick, I can only imagine what other projects are in the works. I still hope for a Stryker equipped with a BM-7 Parus module equipped with the Barrier-212 ATGM system.
No it isn`t same. Armament is supposedly same but module is new
Someone here told that German Marder with new combat module was in dev, so at least we will get that one some time in the future
Ukraine requested VBCIs.
But Arquus instead offered 6x6 VAB Mk.3 for a more rapid delivery.
Currently 6 of them have been delivered sans any French armament module and hence Sich was mounted instead.
Future Fuchs with Ukrainian combat module was agreed for development.
