Knowing the huge Russian playerbase and origin of this game, the only realistic scenario i can think of if capitulation happens and so the vehicles can be added to the USSR/Russia tech tree, which is also not very likely to happen because of how much drama that would cause with the equally huge western playerbase
- The old leak list roadmap.
I disagree that that’s the only way. This could definitely work and not burn the house down. Maybe the part with Yugo nation’s being part of it, that would likely be an independent firestorm lol.
Its still a “leak” after all, and im pretty sure a leak discussed Ukrainian vehicles before the situation happened, so could be remnants of cancelled plans. If Ukrainian stuff eventually comes, let’s just say its going to be interesting to see the Russian Dev server stream chat lol
This was last year, Q4. Pretty new leak but things can change as it was a roadmap leak.
Honestly, whether English or Russian dev steam, the chat is always a **** storm of “I want this! BIAS!” etc. so it would likely be nothing too out of the normal.
As for the pre-conflict leak, it wasn’t a leak. It was the release of user-made vehicles by @DanPogan that people really wanted and which people kept twisting it into a “leak”.
BM Oplot
T-84-120 ‘Yatagan’
BTR-4E
DanPogan’s link:
I would honestly want this tech tree because it would be undoubtedly the most powerful in the game at top tier and it would be funny going from Russian bias to Ukrainian bias.
I think currently it would be just about the best with what we have in-game but once the latest versions of the Abrams, T-90M, Leopard 2A7A1, etc. it would compete very well.
And suddenly the English speaking Forum is going to love Gaijin lol/s
Just thinking about the theoretical lineup makes me excited.
BM Oplot, Yatagan, Strv 122V, Pantsir, and F-16. The more crew slots you get, the more insane it gets.
Kind of. Pantsir-S1 wouldn’t be the most viable addition since only like one or two were utilized as well as the several MBT from various nations would need a way to be tamed down and placed into event status, etc.
The most likely top MBT to be added to the main tree would be the Leopard 2A4V and Leopard 2A6V, with the Challenger 2 and maybe the Strv 122(V) being event vehicles, and the M1A1 SA-UKR being a Squadron/Premium/Event vehicle.
The likely best Ukrainian tank is probably the T-84-120 Yatagan w/ DM53 APFSDS-T followed closely by the BM Oplot w/ 3BM42 APFSDS-T (or some type of round placeholder).
The F-16AM MLU, and Mirage 2000-5F would be the nation’s top aircraft at this current time. The MiG-29MU2 would be close behind with its R-27ER1’s, Gran IR missiles, and new RADAR modifications.
Can’t let the foreign vehicles overshadow the unique and highly capable in there own right Ukrainian-made vehicles.
Another attractive part of Ukraine in-game would be all the light vehicles to use alongside those MBTs. The BTRs, BMPs, and things like the BMPT Strazh would be excellent compliments to MBTs, and help create some good lineups!
Oh yeah the BMPT Strazh would be a beast. Extremely vulnerable to HE via its unmanned combat module (would be like similar to the in-game QN506) but the hull is layered in Nizh-1M ERA which is superior to Kontact-5. Plus the 4x RK-2S tandem-HEAT missiles that have 800mm of penetration behind ERA, dual 30mm ZTM-2 autocannons, 2x KT-7.62mm machine guns, and a 30mm KBA-117 grenade launcher, its going to lob rounds down range. Granted its best round is 3UBR8 APDS, it still will melt vehicles and combat modules away.
it wont be anything special, its just USSR 2.0 with a lot of copy paste vehicles and lack of any WW2-WW1 related stuff that isnt just straight up copying T-34’s and BTR’s.
as i said earlier, this “tech tree” is not viable unless you want another boring TT with the same 4 tanks with small changes.
Everyone has there opinion, which is fine. A strong majority of people disagree with your stance and do see the tree beyond “copy and paste”.
so far the entire thread just shows barely modified or lend lease stuff, i can say that the only original tank here worth adding is the T-84 oplot as a premium or event but thats it, adding this TT will destabilize the balance again just like what happened with israel.
if this had more native or heavily modified vehicles that could be considered another whole vehicle then it would be considered a while ago.
There’s several vehicles that underwent either significant change or are an original design. Not to mention, all the combat modules are original and marks Ukraine as one of the first nations to use unmanned turrets which is a pretty significant change.
Ukraine developed 2 sets of improved ERA that’s superior to Kontact-5, cornerstone of engine development, developed several of its own missile systems, etc. They also have there own hard-kill APS which is in Turkish use.
The iconic BM Oplot, Oplot zr. 2000, T-64BM, T-84-120 ‘Yatagan’, T-72-120, BTR-4, BMPT Strazh, Otaman-3, etc. are all pretty majorly different vehicles.
I mean a T-series with a bustle autoloader derived from a Leclerc design that fires 120mm rounds is quite unique if you ask me. That’s just one of several.
Tifon-2A, A Ukrainian Modernization w/ a Peruvian Touch
- Also known as the T-55AGM to Ukraine, this unique modernization of the T-55A by Ukraine and with specified modifications for Peru features a 125mm KBM-1M smoothbore gun, coaxial KT-7.62mm machine gun, KT-12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun, Nozh ERA along with Deflek-T Composite Armor, and more. The Gunner uses the Buran Katherine-E 2nd-generation thermal imager, enhanced Fire Control System with the ability to fire the Kombat GL-ATGM, the Linkey-SPZ Laser Warning System, and a 1,050hp 5TDMFA Diesel Engine. One other major change is the usage of a turret-bustle autoloader, increasing overall crew survivability in the event of a successful hull penetration.
- This modernization has also been offered and completed on the T-62 which is known as the T-62AG or T-62AGM depending on the type of kit and what is equipped from it. This kit could even include either a 120mm KBM-2, or 125mm KBA-3/KBM-1M.
AB-13 and Azovets as well! Hopefully the gravehawk and dragon spaa can join once more information is released on them.
If an eastern/central European tree comes into being, maybe the Ukrainian M1A1 SA-ukr and Leopard 2a4V could be foldered with the polish Abrams and Leopard 2PL?
Guess you’ll just have to wait and see when I get a working version ready :D
Can’t wait!
Also this is a huge long shot, but if you think it could fit, maybe the Baltic states could be included?
They may not be many vehicles, but they do give quite a few low tier ground, air and coastal options (plus the Latvian scimitars are apparently equipped with spikes, though I haven’t seen any images).
