essentially involved removing the upper part of the Ha-Go tank’s hull and replacing it with a sloped armored compartment, equipping it with a 47mm anti-tank gun in a limited traverse mount.
The intention is not to bolster the Japanese low-rank lineup, as its tank destroyer line is already quite robust between rank 1 and 2.
The Ho-Ru, much like the Ho-To, is suggested to offer a diverse range of vehicles and gameplay experiences at lower ranks.
Us Japan mains have been wanting these vehicles for years.

I really want this, but one question I have is about the open roof. Was there any provision for a hatch door? As far as I know, there are no images or drawings from the top view of the vehicle

Italian Semovente 47/32 which is another SPG that is incredible similar to the Ho-Ru in term of gun caliber of 47mm, frontal armor of 30mm, and very low profile…

The Ho-Ru would be much better. Significantly better power/weight ratio, superior suspension design and much better gun.
Funny enough the Ho-Ru was initially planned to be added into WoT’s Japanese TD branch which was leaked in 2015.

Surprisingly they got the frontal armor thickness correct but the lower plate should be reinforced to 30mm of armor aswell.

Ofc WG model was not faithful to the historical design especially the tracks remain unchanged and the back of the vehicle should not be enclosed.
