Its not huge the actual damage model is tiny, only the top part which is the original turret ring and the tiny bit at the bottom, people just get confused by the drives which were already there

I personally have survived my tank losing it’s autoloader around 4 times without exploding in a single life
Comes down to what’s shooting you, how much ammo you’re rocking and just the game rolling a dice (+ if you fed the snail)

post pen survivability of abrams was better before the addition of turret basket
well your just wrong there there is a massive disparity in post pen survivability compared to M1a2 and type 10 for example
I may not have the hstvl or rdflt but I do have otomatic and vcc90/60 as well as many autocannons all of which are very good at killing russian tanks
