it would stop you from aiming at the guy shooting you tho
and you’re incredbly screwed if you were facing towards to far to the sides or rear since it would be stuck aiming a bit elevated
Which isnt exactly worse than only being able to shoot once before having to repair
your right it is much worse
if you can shoot once you can at least do something to try kill or disable them, if you cant aim you just have to hope that they cant kill you
No theyre about equal, if you can shoot once you can do those things, but if you lose a turret ring you can also do those things, in both cases you have an okay chance of being able to deal with one lone enemy but if there are multiple then there is nothing you can do
Something I haven’t really seen people talk about. Technically, Russian tanks don’t have a turret basket in the way you think. However, the turret basket is kinda a part of the autoloader itself, meaning if you were to damage the autoloader, the turret should not be able to rotate.
absolutely, gaijin just doesnt like nerfing russia as much as US so havent changed the one variable that would make T series autoloaders stop the turrets
If gaijin is going to release a “feature” it should be standardized across all nations and tanks at the same time. There is absolutely NO reason why they should trickle release things. They could easily just save it for future updates for when everything is completed.
They wonder why people are quick to point to bias…
The sad part is, they were working on adding the basket to the Abrams but completely overlooked (probably ignored intentionally) the lower mantlet armor being completely wrong and under protected.
you clearly dont know what you are talking about because with one shot you can easily kill or disable any tank in the game, where as without a turret drive you can not aim accurately enough to do so to not even get into the fact that often the turret basket and engine get hit
so no, turret basket is much worse in its current implementation and anyone trying to say otherwise is either bad enough at the game to not understand or intentionally lying
they spent all that time modeling the turret basket instead of fixing any of the dozens of accepted bug reports that prove the abrams is underpreforming in game
Yup… but hey at least Russia is getting a shiny new T-series next update while all 7+ versions of the Abrams continues to suffer
It comes down to the scenario you find yourself in but in most cases i’d say the the turret ring being broken is definitely the worse option
If your autoloader is broken, your biggest concern would probably be:
- Is there more than 1 enemy?
- Is there a shell loaded?
If your turret ring is broken:
- Is the turret facing a direction that would allow me to shoot without a section of my tank being in full view ?
- Can i position or drive out of here with my gun still aimed at the target or would i need to get my barrel away from the enemy?
- Are they shooting from a distance or nearby? there’s not going to be any fine tuning that aim, long range is a death sentence
- Are they flanking mid-repair? cancel it and turn around the entire vehicle
and i can think of a few more if you want
Feel free to add some more to the autoloader list
Trophy APS when Arena-M:
I agree, so how can you get into a situation where you are missing a turret ring or an autoloader?
I agree lets also not get into the fact that the ammo and the autoloader often get hit together
Oh no gaijin added a tiny little mini turret ring under the normal one this is proof of russian bias!!
If anyone knows how bearings actually work. The turret rotates on the race. The turret basket’s only job is to house electronics and where the crew members sit. There’s nothing mechanical about the turret basket itself.
how would you know? u have neither
true, it eat spall more often tho
yeah but the basket is huge and its unrealistic
not having it is better than having it
gaijin would never acknowledge that they are wrong
Soon comrade, soon
(i feel like every shell that pens is going to break ya basket)
oh noe
cringe
That should all be anti spall protection :(
