its pretty simple, there will be one contact immediately above or bellow the turret ring and a second on the bottom of the autoloader near the axis of rotation which then is run along the loading arm

Other than the details I noted, there is nothing more to the DM. You can tell by the fact that it doesn’t form extra spall and dont block spall from armor pierce
for example here is turret drive and this part in DM. You can see spall generation by that
