Yeah, for right now anyway they seem to care more for short term sales and the new player base rather than us long time players or the longevity of the game.
If they were doing something to to actually improve the game for example fixing the broken match maker, or adding new and different game modes I wouldnt be as upset about this delay myself.
As it is now though im not really here waiting for the transfer for War Thunders sake, but Im here because this transfer is preventing me from playing other gaijin games.

I don’t understand why Gaijin is reluctant to even try to reveal a little bit about the transition service, I think even if they launched a fee-based service, such as a dozen dollars to get away from Xbox first, there would be a lot of people willing to pay, and this fee would provide a decent amount of revenue to make up for the loss of manpower for their scattered people to disconnect (

It should be free anyway, but I wouldn’t mind paying 10 or 20 dollars to transfer my account.

Problem here is you are paying to pay. Gaijin has plenty of man power, they would rather make new sellable vehicles than work on anything else. This has been an issue for years, just because Gaijin decides not to fix this issue doesnt mean they dont have the man power.

As with what happened with Fortnite, Gaijin would get in trouble with Microsoft/Sony for their use of a 3rd party store
They supposedly have a large backlog of accounts to transfer, I think they just gave up cause console sales are more profitable than thru Gaijin.
If you’re wanting the pre-order bonuses or anything, just buy the pack when it releases, console players get access to the pre-order bonuses for 2 weeks after the pack releases, after that the pack no longer carries them.
This would be true only for the sales and only if Gaijin was selling us stuff behind the backs of the console companies. Which since they arent, and it wouldnt matter once our accounts were transferred.
The console companies cant stop them from transferring our accounts, all of this BS stems literally from Gaijin not fixing what is solely their issue to fix. The claim they dont have the manpower to fix this, but some how they have enough people to make a new game (Aces of Thunder) which will be a direct competitor to War Thunder.
They cleared out the back log late last year.
They are not just losing out on War Thunder sale, but on sales on all of their other games as well. If you play/pay into their other titles like Star Conflict, or Cross Out, on PC you will loose all of your progress and purchases during the transfer. Which means if you dont like throwing your time and money into a trashcan, you dont bother to play the games. And then there’s Enlisted, which you cant even play at all.

My issue isnt with how chat GPT can do it, which it probably could given how advanced it is, but my issue is the fact that I could do it. I took multiple coding classes, and I’m fairly certain that a single person could do it in a week, let alone a team of 3-4 people. And yes, there are more urgent issues, like fixing armor, nerfing more vehicles that don’t need to be instead of fixing maps, and issues like this that affect more than 1/8th the player population.

Ya know… Thinking on it and what I know of the process from what the dev had said here, there shouldnt be any need to copy data or create a new account with it at all.
When you sign up and play on console it seems the console companies are the main holders of your “save data”, gaijin doesnt have it (or maybe not all of it) at first. When you link your account is when gaijin gets a full copy of the data and basically mirrors it on their own servers for use on PC.
When looking to “transfer” your linked account away from console, currently they are creating a “new” pc account with your same email and transferring/copying the data over from your console linked account, then deleting the PC account that was created in the link.
So, my thoughts are that since the linking creates a PC account, that account has to have some sort of flag, or tether, to the console account so they can update each other as you play on either console or PC.
The flag/tether could just be removed. Then the account wouldnt be linked anymore giving you 2 separate accounts, and finally they would just have to update the permissions on the PC account to give you back the access you need.
It’s been nearly two years since then. I’m a bit curious if you’ve managed to handle all the huge number of work orders you received during the last open period?)

In 2 years the devs couldve easily already done them, but theyre too focused on adding trashy premiums which nobody will buy rather than doing anything actually useful.

they have the man power… because they swim on Money. they just dont want to bring it back. Clear as water. For example, this Mig29 Sniper. Copy pasta and charging 80 Euros, more than a Full game AAA. Just for a copy pasta recolored. And is gonna be a best seller. They have money = manpower for build a Exoplanet.

As I stated a couple posts ago they have already finished the backloged requests they had.

In fact, I’m more concerned about a clear answer: I can accept them saying “this service is permanently closed and won’t be turned on again, you can give it up” or “we’ll turn it on before the time (maybe a few months or maybe a year or I can accept it)”, but I can’t accept that they always say “maybe it will be restored at some point”, which sounds like a guy saying to her pregnant girlfriend, “Maybe we might get married someday in the future” instead of “Let’s break up” or" Our wedding is set on a certain day" (

I get it, but this is how Gaijin treats everything they do. They just do what they want and dont really care about what happens afterward. Look at what they do with the game as a whole, repeatedly spouting off about how historical the game is, while at the same time putting in vehicles/models they knew right from the beginning wasn’t historical at all.

It really sucks that we can play our console accounts on PC but still can’t buy premium packs or use the marketplace. A lot of us have spent years on this game and just want the full experience on PC without starting over. Please bring back the unlinking process. It would mean a lot to longtime players.

i would love to transfer I’ve been playing on this account since the closed xbox beta.i have so much time logged but I’ve been trying to transfer and I’m genuinely confused why gaijin isn’t dedicating man power to this issue this thread has over a thousand replies and is making the need for this obvious.
same here I have played around 6-7 years on 2 dif accounts my PSN account got banned and I could no longer buy packs on PS4 and had to make a new account bc I wanted other stuff so now this account is around 4-5 years old and I cannot even use the market if I could use the market I would be doing every event tbh so I could sell things but nope all bc gaijin devs do nothing took them what 2 years to fix the economy with changes that I think could have been done by a team of 20 or less devs in like a month
