HISTORY
At an Orbital ATK BUSHMASTER Users conference event back in 2017 wich was held in Kingman somewhere near Arizona, Usa, we firstly saw this vehicle wich is an Toyota Landcruiser J79 with an R400S-Mk2-D-HD remote controlled weapon station from the Australian company EOS - Electro Optic Defence Systems integrated with the vehicle with an M230LF cannon in the 30x113mm caliber. This was an demonstration with multiple companies to show the potential of the bushmaster cannons, from both 30x113 bushamster’s to 30x173mm bushmasters.

This is a vehicle the Pratt Miller company has worked on putting together, and around half a year prior to this demonstration with the live firing they started working on this idea. The reason behind the integration of this weapon station onto this truck, is due to its reputation. As you all know, these Toyotas has been used for almost everything, from cannons to machineguns, rocket pods and artillery, its really well built and solid, with one of the most reliable eignes available, and it has been produced for over 30 years and barely anything has changed on the vehicle, even the interior is the same as it was when introduced in the late 1980’s! only minor changes to the chassy and the build can be considered “overengineered”.

IN GAME
This could be an awesome vehicle for Usa and Australia, and i am sure players would have the same reaction as the crew in the video above ;). It has the ability to penetrate lightly armored vehicles and engage airplanes, helicopters and drones and it should have acess to airburst ammunition.

These Aussie RWS have found their way on to a lot of vehicles. They could have quite a few of them in the game mounted on different vehicles in different tech trees. Many are or could be operational vehicles, this one like some others is clearly a tech demonstrator just to show off the weapon system which makes it a bit of a meme. I voted yes.

The reason they choose to demonstrate it on the 70 series Toyota Land Cruiser, was because of its reputation, durability and reliability, both as it basically runs forever and is easy to repair haha. Guess it has connections with how popular the J79 is in Australia.

I think this is valid for Australia too, that they could receive one in a respective tree, considering its only demonstrated, not trialed or tested by anyone yet

Australia could also have a Hawkei with the very similar Slinger RWS, or a Bushmaster with it. So I’d probably suggest leaving this Toyota Landcruiser for the USA tech tree and giving Australia some of the below.
There’s a couple demo vehicles in this video for their different weapon stations.

Hawkei with a 30mm Slinger RWS.

There was also a purpose built militarized Hilux by an Australian company with the 30mm RWS on it, but I’m struggling to find it right now. It was available for export.
