  1. Don’t use AI. at best it’s slightly wrong half the time and at worst it straight up misinformation.

  2. “Net explosive weight” usually includes propellant, it’s what listed in safety documentation for transporting explosive compounds.

As a sidenote and some info on the TOW missiles i found this at a first quick search:

Obligatory front page to show that it's not classified

i couldnt find anything in regards to tow2b penetration… that document seems to be more of a manual of usage, theres more info about other nations atgm for that specific technical data than tow2b in the .pdf and i saw a few other .pdf but these only show performance of lethality in action (kill ratio in different conditions) rather than technical details of the intended missile performance, nobody in this post has either shown any proof of its 100mm penetration we see in game or where this number comes from…

im not sure if it’s either too hard to model (bcoz many tandem atgms have this issue of being just a single stage detonation with higher penetration than two consecutive impacts which is the actual magic of these missile as it was designed to surpass most ERA) or if its due to this specific information being classified not that from the tow launcher hardware but the tow 2b missile penetration performance…

however the missile in war thunder is not tow2b, it works differently and seems to have custom stats, if it had a different name or “experimental” besides i wouldnt mind but this is certainly not a tow 2b in game, its just a different top attack missile.

most people seem to have just look away and derail off topic from the main issue rather than providing factual information to contrast my point, my guess is, this would be detrimental for them due to the the possibility of the fix making the vehicle competitive in higher tiers as something highly unwanted by autocannon or tank enjoyers, curiously this missile is also an excellent cheater buster bcoz autoaim most likely doesnt work against indirect firing vehicles.

Well that the issue at the end of the day, you cant disproof this value either, realistically a 127mm tantalum efp should at the very least be able penetrate it’s diameter, but since they dont really have to show their sources for penetration they can really give whatever as long as they still penetrates t72’s roof without the era.
Probably the best option is to ask for a new proyectile type with a different damage model and be classed as an KE proyectile instead of a heat, but this is also likely to be ignored as only really affects to this missile.

People exagerating about tow2b performance, I been using it lately in the taiwanese M113 and its very good, even with my 10.3 lineup.

You might wanna use 2 against mbts tho. But its not bad for an excelent hull down monster.

I personally like them because they are funnier and are really good at pest control, but against mbt at higher br are inconsistent.

This isn’t exactly bias but incorrect modeling, in game the BILL 2 is treated as one singular charge when in reality it’s a tandem for breaking through ERA in game it’s not modeled like that so they’ve just added the own values together.

Regardless just like tow 2B it was denied, moral of the story snail doesn’t care about either

I gotta ask where this info comes from given SAAB has stated the BILL 2 is a tandem missile

For them to be classed as “heat” them discribing it as a “Hollow shape charge” and the small diameter penetration.

Btw the tandem charge war head bill unlike the tow 2b is meant to detonate at around the same area as the main change.

Yeah I’ve seen this video just been a while and tbf the tandem part of the bill is a new one for me lol. I’m pretty sure it only has one charge angled down at 30° and maybe another at 45° it’s been a hot minute since I looked at the internal layout for the BILL

Though not like SAABs the most descriptive at times 😭😭😭

It is also shown in the video, at 4:16

Yeah they say both but iirc one book mentions one charge but as you mentioned earlier I recall 2 charges and them both being fired at the same time.

Nope the precursor impacts before the main charge

Interesting, still trying to find the image

You mean the “hollow charge jet”? If it is, then at the end of the video 6:43

Still not the image but yeah here’s the comp between BILL 1 with 1 charge and BILL 2

Ah yeah this is definitely BILL 1 look at the charge for BILL 1 that’s actually angled

It definitely is the BILL 1, also by the diagram it seem like it only have 1 warhead
