They added agm154 to the dev, however…

Tri seeker, but i think Gaijin could add it having only IR available? Idk it wouldn’t be historical though. They would probably just make it single guided by laser just like brimstone

Agm-179MR is has a ingame laser and ir variant which is not historical at all so in normal gaijin fashion this would actually make perfectly normal sense

The real questions should be, what is the stealth capability going to be like? And is that MACH limiter historical?

AGM-187A is the Fixed wing variant of the JAGM, modifed, it does not feature a tri-seeker, only SAL or MMW

Oh okay yeah i just accepted it had ir when i read what CollectorOfSins wrote

obviously, if this was a strong option we would already have MMW in game.

They can be fired from IN/GPS first and then have their seekers turn on at 2-3 km. Idk if Gaijin will implement LOAL though. But still even if you need to expose yourself to datalink it in, defeating MMW is hard as systems like ROSY are just to delay the lock, not prevent the lock.

Some countries still don’t have any counter to MMW. Russia for example has no ROSY or Barracuda. Even their APS on T14 seems to be mainly for horizontal threats and not top down. I see no way for MMW to be added to the game until all nations have a counter to MMW like we all have smoke for IR.

what? You are saying that radar waves can go through a building?

Not sure, but doubt that, all you would have to do to defeat the missile is drive away far enough. Unless the MMW would work in TOO mode, which i doubt.

They can’t model the correct top-down attack of the Hellfire for years now, doubt they have enough wits to do it for the AGM-187

What? no I’m agreeing with you that yes hard cover will defeat MMW. but that its not a good option enough.

Our maps are way too small. And you would be hurting your team running away and not playing the objective.

Yeah I was just assuming they would by then. SPIKEs and Hellfires have been bugged for years, they could if they want to as we saw with LMUR, but I guess some nations need handholding

This JSOW totally useless, HE warhead with only GPS guidance. At least make it could be drop in 1.2mach, by the way AGM-130 KD-88 and Kh-59M, why they couldn’t drop in low supersonic

USA top tier needs GBU-53B, preferably without a 1Mach release speed limit

We have LJDAM-ER? Or do u mean the quicksink JDAM with ir seeker? Anyhow i think the best option would be gbu53 any day of the week

My fault, I got the GBU-31 and GBU-54 mixed up

Knowing Gaijin they’d just put a ~13km vehicle track range on it and call it a day.

Report to increase the maximum release speed of JSOW

dont worry russia doesnt either

What do you mean it’s not overpowered? How can a tank counter an MMW missile on a map like Sinai? I really can’t see how it’s not overpowered. If it just locks onto the target at 2 or 3 km, does that really make any difference? Especially because the missile has IOG or GNSS.

How can you counter a SPICE 250 or a KH38MT on Sinai if you don’t know it was fired? Especially in the case of the SPICE250, no smoke trail, no warning. It’s up to the SPAA to intecrept and destroy munitions. If there is a competent SU30 player he can just go up and rain KH38s from top-down, smoke is very unlikely to help in any way.

Also the post that you were replying to wasn’t even focusing on the countering of MMW munitons, but on the misconceptions about factors like IFF and MMW, seeker range and datalink, etc…

?? And using the game mechanics to spot enemy aircraft in the air always keep an eye out for any of them lining up with the battlefield as they approach. If tanks are aware of what’s going on, they rarely get destroyed. Now, between the option of being able to dodge and the alternative of not even seeing them and getting killed, I don’t think you need to think too hard about it.

Yes, but you’re justifying that it can be added because, technically, it isn’t overpowered; however, in the logic of the game we play which features small maps, many of which lack proper cover that’s a bit ridiculous
