The US Aviation Tree needs new missiles

Also in this document the longest test was just at only 60000ft, nowhere even close to the 39km that he claims to be present in this one.

18.35km range
against a Building that we don’t know about
and it’s an AGM-65G not D

Against vehicles the longest launch here was 42,560 ft which is close the maximun track range in game for these missiles

LOL, Derby crying in the corner because it’s so bad nobody even remembers it exists.

but the result was a “miss”

23000 nautical meters…

unironically would rather use derby in most situations, at least it can pull

I said a missile, not stick with engine.

FFAR? did you call FFAR? or it’s gramps, the mighty and old veteran HVAR?! :D

because those are the true forms of a stick with engine.

thats pushing more into small log territory

gaijin please do this so i can have meteor+asraam loadout on my aesa typhoon and explode all f18e players from across the map

It is to be expected munitions malfuntions all the time, even much more modern sistems dont have a 100% hit rate

What does clearance here refer to?

I can’t find it now. It was on the DCS forum back in the day, dealing with the A-10C and Mavericks.
The only thing that’s available now is the US Air Force website, but it says the range is 13 nautical miles.
AGM-65 Maverick > Air Force > Fact Sheet Display

13 nautical miles is about 24km.

which lines up with other sources i’ve seen.

There are a number of issues regarding the AGM-65 (finding hte reports are a pain because of the bug report site but i’ve found these accepted reports:)

I thought I recall another older report covering low altitude range, and that in game its missing about 5km of effective range (currently its about 17/18km but should be more like 23ish km) but I cant seem to be able to find it

That is, only when the USSR receives the Su-57, and that won’t be anytime soon. We’ll have to wait another six months.

With current DIRCM realisation which use Slavik magic rays, AIM-9X will be useless.
