The US Aviation Tree needs new missiles

ok, take it
USAF Weapon System Evaluation Program.

If it meant I could identify ground targets on a low cloud cover day it would be a game changer.
Being able to ID targets fast across a battlefield is difficult with the sniper pod’s zoom so anything to help is appreciated. IMO worth 4 bombs that have a smaller explosion kill radius (2m) than it’s 3m GPS inaccuracy.

Fuel tank isn’t that valuable because you can just do conformal. Tune your fuel to minimum and you get plenty of fuel. You can dump what you don’t want.

most GRB games todays are map town,… you’ll see 1/2 targets, depending on the angle,…

IMHO, USA is generally worst top tier nation. They have no modern AGM, GBU. Their top planes are the most technically backward among all other nations.

And Gaijin’s approach didn’t start yesterday. They have been steadily receiving garbage for 2-3 years.

I assume that if Gaijin retains their course USA will die as a nation within a couple of years.

just conveniently forgetting R77-1

thanks so :

shows that about 30% would miss anyway (overflight or fails to track) - in advantageous conditions

and :

is the graph of your previous table,…
in which range is set in Feets, and not Nautical miles
so,…
26000 feets, translates in 7924.8 meters, and not 40km,…

image
linked to the second table
33500 feets = 10210 meters

sometimes, we need to verify informations. :)

Every nation needs new weaponry.

  • Laser guided brimstones when it should be FnF
  • Glide bombs and agm65 for top tier. When russia has kh38, way faster and destructive.

I am making suggestion for new missiles for Israel, the Popeye, Rampage,Delilah and Rocks.
I invite other nations main to do the same if you do not want to be stuck with same weaponry.

Those aren’t groundbreaking, just slightly long range R-77s.

Altitude in feet and range in NM, that is, in nautical miles.

Read the entire document. What you cited is a missile launch with a tracking target. We’re discussing a missile launch to maximum range.

The greed of US players is endless

oh yes, going from a middle of the pack missile to by far the second best in the game is nothing ground breaking

That thing barely reaches 20 km; turn one time and it bleeds all its energy. I’m gonna choose the AIM-120 over it any day.

what’s in yellow?

(i didn’t fully finished, i had a job interviwew,… but i’ll come back soon enough)

Not all US players, but some are so annoying. No matter how much they get, when other nations get something new, they cry all over the forum.

lmao

you clearly dont understand whats useful for arb then, because 120s artificially nerfed pull makes them close to the worst missile at top tier

Should be 1m or less for the GBU-39/53 btw

From this alone, I can tell that you rarely play CAS in top tier let alone in general. You’re using the word “potential” very loosely and you know it. I can apply this to every single bullet, dumb rocket and bomb.

What you seem to avoid talking about is kill probability, the likelihood of your munitions getting kills. This is what matters the most, not the “kill potential” you’re spouting.

When SPAA is present (which is always), GBU-39s act more as radar clutter and ways to overwhelm them. Even then, with the nature of GPS guided munitions and SPAA missile count, it’s not too hard to either dodge or counter it.

You need to understand what makes the Mavericks a bad AGM in top tier. Its speed, warhead, flight profile, and warhead. The mavericks looses speed very fast making it easy to intercept, dodge, or lose LOS and it not having a backup guidance system like IOG or GPS doesn’t help. The profile sucks because it tends to hit a target at a shallow angle which leads to it hitting heavily armored areas and even then both Heat & SAPHE is a hit or miss.

The Mavericks though extremely good (even OP) at 9.7, dramatically decrease in performance the higher you go in BR. At around 11.7 to 12.0 is where Mavericks looses it’s complete effectiveness at 6-7+km launch. Due to spaa, you are forced to stick low to the ground, pop up at around 5-6km and launch them to surprise SPAA. It is still an extremely risky tactic.

The Hammers is the best NATO agm but suffers low speed & shallow flight profile which makes it easy to intercept, especially at top tier. What it does do well compared to the maverick is it’s warhead and backup guidance system (IOG + GPS)

The Kh38s on the other hand is different from the three because it excels in all 3 aspects. It’s extremely fast (mach 2), has a consistent and large HE warhead, a steep angle of attack. This is what makes the AGM extremely consistently deadly. Guaranteed kill? Probably not, but it has the highest kill probability compared to any AGM in the game.

Before you start critiquing someone’s stats, you should look yourself in the mirror. You play airRB and you’re speaking on systems you have no idea how they perform in GRB.

Quick which version of the AIM-120 you talking about the A? or the B/C?

The A is believable, B/C is bait.
