They said the next update is focused into implementing better SPAAs, so i hope i can finally remove the ADATS from my American lineup.

im glad all the french, swedish, germans, british, Chinese and Japanese players all got their pantsir equivalents.
shame the USA and its subtree are the only ones with a bad SPAA situation
I’ve long since removed ADATS from all my setups, and now have an F-15C in its place.

Good decision, also the idea to remove the ADATS and replace it with LAV is not a bad idea honestly.

The US’s “modern SPAA”:
Fer seriousness, the US presumes air superiority in its planning so the USAF and USN are considered its air defense.
That said, the US is developing mobile “Iron Dome” (ish), so stay tuned.

I’ll never understand this BR change, I know the suffering when it comes to SPAA with no radars and LOAL (the Macbeth does have a gun though it’s crappy).

Italy doesnt even have a top tier SAM only an SPAAG
Germanys isnt great, better, but not great
Japan’s is okay vs aircraft when up close, but useless vs helis.
The US will probably get something, I dont know why you beleive the US wont and the US isnt even the weakest top nation at the moment for SAM performance
I don’t believe that Gaijin is introducing anything newer than the 80s-90s for the USA. And if they do, they’ll first introduce something for the USSR and China.
genuinely sometimes prefer using the Type 93 as ATLEAST I can get into a good position with it, and also have fun zooming around larger maps.
and usually if they’re within range of the Type 81, then the Type 93 in a far better position can also lock it.
Well, I mean, what should we be expecting for newer SPAAs? IR missiles or ARH missiles too? Also Helicopters will be quite troublesome with both IR and ARH missiles either way.
Well, you’ve heard the news, haven’t you? That Europe will be given IRIS-T and China will get SPPA no worse than Pantsir. So it turns out that we may have two nations left in the game without air defense, the USA and Israel. And the worst thing is that Israel and the USA mostly play together.
Because the last time the US got a new SPPA was 6 years ago. And the Gaijin are completely ignoring any requests to fix this situation.

There was a single image showing the German made but Sweden used IRIS-T SLS system. Which quite frankly, wont be all that much stronger than what they have now and is most likely just a testbed for modelling IIR seekers.
Im not sure about the other image shown but I didnt infer from that that ONLY Europe and China were getting something. Heck, Italy, Britain, France and maybe even Germany might not get anything next major update, we will have to wait and see.
I also saw nothing to suggest that US and Israel wont be getting anything.

The US got the ADATS 18 months before the UK got the ADATS without a gun. FlakRad was added about the same time
Israel and Italy dont even have top tier SPAA.
Japan only recently got anything even close to matching the ADATS.
etc etc.
I dont really see why US would be excluded given that it was actually one of hte first to get a new top tier SAM and other nations were a year or so behind. If that tracks. You’ll have something like SL-AMRAAM and Britain will be stuck with the ADATS for next year or more until we get the SkySabre

I apologize, you misunderstood me. I wanted to say that the last time Gaijin introduced MODERN!!! top SAM for the USA, was 6 years ago.
And these mid-range air defense systems, like the one that was on the Sherman body, are being introduced regularly.

It was designed for it, but being an anti-missile system makes something automatically an anti-aircraft one. The new US defense budget throws a LOT of money at anti-air/missile/drone development, some of which is in partnership with the Israelis.
Mavericks are slow because gaijin gimped their speed or was just ill informed when they added them. They are much faster irl which has been bug reported and passed to devs 6 months ago. Now will it get fixed probably not for another 2 years.Community Bug Reporting System
