It’s pathetic how nerfed the missile is
2 hits on a drone => drone keeps flying, i get 2x 10 points.
1 hit (out of 8 attempts) on a Mi28MN. gunner gets taken out, heli keeps flying.
It’s already challenging enough to score a hit in the first place, nerfing it so that it doesn’t do any significant damage when hitting is really uncalled for.

Aster 30 naval is actually less technologically advanced compared to the one we have in game on the SAMPT, so it’s still very relevant I think
Did something happen to the missile this update?
I can’t kill anything anymore and it is way worse at intercepting missiles
if you’re like me checking this thread to see if they fixed the SAMP/T, of course they didn’t
no energy after 15km, can’t kill drones, can’t kill 90% of munitions, can’t kill heli

And during the dev-stream they said they would add the PIF-PAF mechanism in a future update but sadly as you can see, it is still not here after another two updates.

Basically you can think of it as sideways thrusters, providing extra maneuverability and agility even in thin air.
Here’s an example: from 0:55 and onwards in this video

These side thrusters come on even after the booster and sustainers have run out, and will turn on a couple seconds before impact.

Radar randomly stops working and no missile can be fired for what’s left of the game, only thing to do is J out

Not directly related to the radar system but i don’t think there is a thread for the missile itself, otherwise UK is looking to integrate aster 30 into mk41.

Nope, none of it has been fixed. hopefully they’re fixed when we get dev-server this coming friday, but we’ll see. I got a slight suspicion that they’ll fix the Aster-30 missile when we finally got lateral thrust modeled or when better counterparts come that can compete with fixed Aster-30.

We’ve been exploring the possibility for a while, it will allow arsenal ships to complement the UK’s Type 45’s and may be an indication that we plan to stick with ASTER (well more likely Aquilla) for the Type 83 Destroyers/Cruisers rather than a US alternative. All options to be complemented by CAMM, CAMM-ER and CAMM-MR.
