The Paveway IV release speed nerf is ahistorical and should be reverted

Here comes the mach 1.01 release speed

Which ironically would STILL have more evidence than they change they’ve decided to push through…

(Although it wouldn’t be beyond Gaijin to be petty and make it Mach 1.000001)

Remember guys, we’re asking to remove a nerf on a GNSS + Lazer-guided bomb.

This is the Gaijin standard for NATO lazer-guided bomb

Another case of the Russian devs being unable to comprehend that yes, the rest of the world does develop things that Russia does not. In this case a bomb that can released at supersonic speeds…

I know this might upset some of our simpler denizens who think that everything up to and including gravity was invented by Brutik in the Tomsk Tractor Factory.

No wonder we can’t get any nice things when we’re dealing with people who’s technology is 30-40 years behind us…

Speaking on the arcade aspect, the bomb is not that effective to gimp the released speed.
We get fictional and imbalanced treatment.

Lol what?

We have quite a few of these cases unfortunately, Sla 16 for example was nerfed because of misinterpretation of the source and remains unchanged

Interesting there is dead silence on this topic from Gajin

Would be nice if we can start getting official responses to these dev-server threads.

I can probably take a few wild guesses at the Bingo Cards if that were ever the case.

‘We BELIEVE that…insert suspect take here.’

‘Paveway IV looks like insert knackered old Russian weaponry here so it must be the same.’

‘Is Marketing Lie.’

‘More information proceeds to ask for information which is obviously classified and not legal to share needed.’

‘Not a Bug.’

Hey guys

We wanted to provide an update after the developers have reviewed all reports in question.

The original change to add a 1.0M restriction will be removed. Currently information suggests that Supersonic Delivery is possible, though what speed specifically that is still in question. So more investigation will be needed there.

The pylon ratings themselves (being capable of deployment throughout the entire aircrafts flight envelope) doesn’t necessarily mean the bomb itself is.

Nonetheless, the change will be reverted until more conclusive information can be located.

That doesn’t read, this is now resolved. We as players will never be able to prove the structural properties of a Paveway IV bomb.

Mach 1.5 would be enough

now remove the trash limit from damn near all strike fighters and their munitions. at the very least it’d function as a counter against zombies flying fighter jets with naplam.

cool, now do the same for the gbu-39 and -53

*on the ejector that is present on the f-16s and the F-15s, the F/A-18 uses the sub mach ejectors

will GBU-53 will get a similar change

given that it is known to be able to be released at supersonic speeds

but was given the Mach 1.1 is supersonic treatment, along with GBU-39 being nerfed to limit it to Mach 1.1 release as well in the same update

The change to Paveway was due to the report submitted and reviewed. If you believe the same is true of other bombs, please report them.
