The Nuclear Football!

Sure, let’s do that then :D
We’ll know who was right when they’ll change the system, which is never

Me? I do not care. This is about the company watching their profits first and foremost.

I have said every time how Console players get screwed as well by duplicates. But this makes more sense why you are ignoring the marketplace situation so much.

You really have no idea how much money they make from the marketplace every day, do you? I calculated it once, it is literally in the 10’s of thousands of $'s per day. They probably make as much or more money on the marketplace than they do with everything else combined.

ANY reduction in marketplace income will NOT be allowed.

THIS is why a change to no duplicates, without a reduction in odds, will NEVER, EVER happen.

No, I have been trying to explain how each and every suggestion you have gives NOTHING to Gaijin in return for their reduced income from the marketplace. It will never work, it will never happen, NOT without lowering the odds. NO ONE wants the odds to be lowered, especially to the degree that Gaijin would lower them.

Again, you guys really do not understand the HORDES of money they make from the marketplace, daily. Yearly its 10’s or 100’s of millions of $'s.

Even a slight % reduction in profits from the marketplace would lose them millions of $'s a year.

Thats a big range, Im curious about source tho.

Good, a video game is supposed to be fun, not a second job.

Hence why when the SL crates aren’t around, I play other FUN games.

Add on the toxicity of the player base, and it’s a wonder why people like myself run for hill for fun enjoyable, relaxing games.

I need to reiterate, that I have advocated for the console player’s lack of marketplace access each and every time. I have pinged the community managers over and over about it too.

This doesn’t change how no duplicates would be less profitable/harmful to the company.

They can literally just add more coupons on their market.

It’s like a bank that owns all, it can set the prices and people have to pay.

Fine. Let’s get into it. Let’s see how long this is able to go.

You realize that all the bids are anonymous now, right? You have seen the $0.01 overbids/underbids happening nonstop, 24/7/365, right? Do you understand that those ‘players’ making those bids are buying and selling around the 15% cut that Gaijin makes over and over, 24/7/365?

Most of them buy at a ~20% spread, so they are making ~5% each time they flip/churn a coupon.

Churning and burning, removing currency from the marketplace, requiring that more players add more money to the marketplace.

Each time $1 is removed by Gaijin’s 15% cut, it makes it harder/more expensive for all players. Even if you get a coupon from the SL crates, there is less money in “the pool”. SO, players add more money.

Rinse and repeat. 24/7/365. 15% to Gaijin. Every time. Each sale. Resellers might flip a coupon multiple times before someone finally uses it. Gaijin getting 15% every time.

I know I am not talking about the final $ numbers yet. But almost no one understands how many tens of thousands of transactions a day are flowing through that market.

It looks like you are thinking along the right track.

I don’t think scorpion’s suggested change would necessarily brind a probability nerf to special rewards

Lol! Gaijin, not putting profits first? Do you hear yourself? 🤣

Seriously. How did you even type that out without laughing?

It is absolutely incredible to me that with so many complaints about profits “being the only thing Gaijin is concerned about”, that anyone would think they would make a change that is good for players, but less profitable for Gaijin.

It makes zero sense.

This is numbers Im curious about tho, I would like to see exact profit number per month/year

In that case it seems like a lose lose situation for us players anyways no?

Somehow they didnt do that when they gave players free fire extinguishers, sabots, unguided munitions, stock atgms on helos and other stuff

The very existence of gamble crates proves that gaijin considers them a good way to bring money in a way or another. Making those crates appealing to a larger base can be a good idea for them

This is exactly why I am so heated about the SL crate situation brother. Yes, I have been aggressive, yes, I have attacked your idea/no duplicate ideas.

But I have thought about this deeply. For years. And I am certain that if we demand a change that LOOKS good for players on the surface, Gaijin will implement it in a way that is good for GAIJIN, and worse for players.

The players will get “what they wanted”, but also get something that they do NOT want.

“Be careful what you wish for.”

I am trying to help AND defend the players, before any change is considered by the company. Because once a change happens, it will almost certainly never change back. Especially if it is a change that players demanded.

Haha, yeah but they increased the RP amounts of higher vehicles, pushing players to purchase prem time and/or prem vehicles 😉

I haven’t gotten anything I “wanted” in like the last 5-6 sl crates, so when will I get what I want?

Between the last crate and this one I spent easily over 200 mil SL

You have 100% been screwed by the %'s the last two crate events. I think you have gotten the lowest %'s I have ever seen.

Furthermore, to repeat because I want to be more detailed, I know console players like yourself get absolutely screwed by the coupons and especially duplicate coupons.

1,600 War Bonds for a Obj 279 coupon (if you already have it) is one of the most insulting things I have ever seen in a video game. I have pinged the CM’s multiple times to support and advocate for our console brothers.

I hate seeing it. I feel kicked in the gut when I see you guys get those stupid coupons/duplicate coupons.

And I really really really do not want to see the situation get even worse by a hasty change to the duplicate system

I know I have been heated today, I know I have been aggressive. But I have been thinking about all the compounding factors of this “stupid video game” issue, and all I see is horrible horrible consequences for everyone, and especially console players, if they change to no duplicates, without getting something else in return.

That “something else” will either be something that players do NOT want, like drastically lowered odds, OR it could be something that most players would be OK with, like having a 365 day+ premium time requirement to get no duplicates. THAT would be a win+win for everyone. Players can spend a reasonable amount of $ to get no duplicates, while the company makes more money directly from Premium Time sales, and increased player activity (because players do not want to waste the premium time).
