I’d say thats a good example of the give and take in the end, the 114B is still a largely inferior weapon to the Vikhir, however, most of the SALH armed 114 carriers do indeed have better optics, although some do actually get rather close to the KA-50’s x23 zoom, eg stuff like the G-Lynx only sports a max zoom of x12, or the AH-1W sporting x13.
In the realm of top tier vs premium helos as well, I have had little interest in grinding out the AH-64D over just using the premium AH-64As. The D brings functionally nothing to the table currently bar the FCR which provides no real benefit right now, its sadly a waste of my time. The RAH-66 does not really change that dynamic currently in the US tree, the lower tier helos already have all the bells and whistles higher tier helos have, the RAH-66 also fails to really do anything new bar stealth. I cant see someone with the Peten really being any worse off than a RAH-66 pilot, heck, the RAH-66 may be slightly worse due to it having a lower total payload comparatively.
T don’t think it should be in the TT because it isn’t a production vehicle. but it shouldn’t be a Premium either. More like a Squadron vehicle. But there Is still a tech tree with no Squadron vehicle, Italy. I also wouldn’t say it can put up a fight with the Ka-52 not even the ka-50, currently the Heli only have its hellfires.
(There are 2 squadron helis in the game but the us has one of them)
The Ka50-52 is the best helicopter you can get in the game, with very good air-to-ground missiles, decent air-to-air missiles, and a 30mm cannon with APDs! It’s also capable of resisting missiles,Shots fired from larger caliber weapons and even hesh ammunition for some reason
Yep,and yet it is still very good, I say this as a main US citizen, I love the KA50-52 but the same thing that makes me love it makes me hate it, I know it is extremely good
The leo is an over used copy paste. Like the old shermans and t80 variants a while back.
France already has a dutch 2a4 in the tech tree, thats why this new leo is a prem.
MSC was a pre production test bed for different moduals (MSC came after the prototype), production variant became the Leclerc. Thats why the MSC is often reffered to as the first Leclerc. And also why it’d fill the gap in the TT better rather then the actual prototype Leclerc or a second 2A4.
RAH-66 on the other hand had only 2 prototypes. All work on the Comache was terminated due to budget cuts and the high costs of the aircraft. (Had to majorly upgraded to newer standards).
Still the RAH-66 can only carry 14x AGM-114B rockets with a gun that does less damage. Besides that it currently doesn’t have other weapon options, also meaning you can’t spawn it early game even if you wanted to.
Meanwhile the AH-64A can carry 16× AGM-114B rockets combined with 4x Atlas milles, a better gun and the option to choose different weapon types to combine.

Looking at the 64D, 60L and 1Z, they all carry more and better hellfire variants. They have the ability to customize weapon layouts for different loadouts and appart from the 60L, they have a better gun aswell.
Sure their br is higher, but then you can just go for the YAH-64 instead (same br). That still had a better gun, 2 more AGM-114B rockets and the ability to carry 4 hydra gun pods. (Of you don’t want to play for the RP it’s around the same price, you just get a better loadout)
So in more then 1 way, the tech tree has better options. (Especially since the maker of the topic doesn’t want to pay)
