Because it’s easier to get funding for a new missile when you create at least the appearance that you have put some development into it? That goes for literally anything. Do you know how the real world works?

difference is that the one youre showing off was at a military expo so it needs that extra sparkle of “trust me its real bro” than a more obvious dummy
except this isnt like buy a new fridge, its more than just presentation of missile but actual trials of it by customers who want it
but there werent any trials so they only had presentation to try and sell it with

same here. I could literally make a fake seeker head in about an hour and a half (mostly from deciding which gameboy to canniballise)
these trials happen when some military inquires for it

no, if they wanted to use them to sell it they would have conducted them before the expo, the only reason they wouldnt have conducted trials and presented results there is because it was not functional
so you KNOW its a fake
so there isnt any photos of a production one and you are aware of this
