I want to raise ongoing and increasingly frustrating issues as the new update is coming along:
the Israeli tech tree is falling further behind every other nation in the game, despite there being well-documented, real-world equipment that could address these gaps.
It’s a systemic neglect that affects balance, playability, and the viability of the tree at multiple tiers.
Below is a structured breakdown of the main issues.
Israel is a unique and compelling tree with a rich history of innovative military technology. The community wants to see it thrive — not stagnate. We’re not asking for anything that isn’t historically grounded or already present in similar form on other nations. We’re asking for fair treatment and a clear path forward. Please take this feedback seriously.
No Anti-Ship Missiles
Israel has no access to anti-ship missiles whatsoever, while other nations are regularly receiving and expanding their anti-ship loadouts. This leaves players that choose to play Israel, at a significant tactical disadvantage.
Anti-Radiation missiles severely limited
Currently, on the dev server, only a single aircraft in the Israeli tree carries anti-radiation missiles, and it is restricted to just 2 missiles per sortie. By contrast, other nations have these weapons across multiple platforms and can carry 4 at a time. This disparity makes SEAD operations practically unplayable for Israel.
No top-tier aircraft at BR 14.3 or 14.7
Israel does not have a single aircraft at 14.7 BR — or even 14.3. This is a stark gap as other nations have been progressively receiving top-tier jets. Israeli air players are being forced into unfavorable matchups where they are simply outclassed by aircraft 1–2 BR steps ahead.
“Well they don’t have more options now do they?”
Israel has done a lot to upgrade its Air Force to a diamond standard. better missiles like the python 4 and 5 could be added to compensate for the lack of better airframes. Overall a greater variety of armaments made by Israel is needed (Popeye, ROCKS, Gavriel and those are just the tip of the iceberg)
No SACLOS SAM capable of engaging LDIRCM equipped helicopters
With LDIRCM systems becoming more prevalent on enemy helicopters, Israel has no SACLOS-guided surface-to-air missile option to counter them effectively.
IR-guided systems are simply defeated by LDIRCM, leaving Israeli ground players with no viable tool against these threats. Imagine sitting in your SPYDER, throwing literally 8 Python 5s at a Mi-28NM that is just sitting there lobbing and dunking on everybody, and not one Python 5 connects! Insanely frustrating.
No helicopter with LDIRCM — despite the AH-64D-I “Saraph” existing
The Israeli AH-64D-I Apache is equipped with the “MUSIC” (Multi-Spectral Infrared Countermeasure) LDIRCM system in real life. Yet the in-game Israeli helicopter roster does not reflect this capability, putting Israeli heli players at a disadvantage when facing IR missiles that other nations’ helicopters can already defeat.
And of course, and probably the worst, is the large backlog of unresolved bug reports.
There is a significant and growing pile of outstanding bug reports related to Israeli vehicles that have been sitting unacknowledged or unresolved for extended periods. Issues with armor models, weapons behavior, and vehicle characteristics remain unfixed while reports for other nations see faster turnaround. This compounds the feeling that the tree is simply not a development priority.
Here is what we are asking for:
- Clear communication from Gaijin on the Israeli roadmap
Players deserve transparency on when and how the Israeli tree will be brought up to parity with other nations, rather than being left to speculate update after update.
- Address the bug report backlog
A focused effort to review and close outstanding Israel-related bug reports would go a long way in restoring confidence among the community.
- Prioritize missing capabilities in upcoming updates
Anti-ship missiles, SACLOS SAM, LDIRCM on the AH-64D-I, and expanded ARM platforms are all achievable additions that would meaningfully close the gap.
Have a great week :)
