it wouldnt be that OP as long as ppl aim 4 the wings instead of fuselage. Fuselage eats up a PBJ-1J’s 75mm but wings get 7.62’d
plus if they kill 3 of the 6 engines it quits flying :P

3.7 plane with autocannons fighting stuff like Catalina and OS2U.
2.3* plane with autocanons (could only become 3.3 ish with removed floats risking losing your plane in vain + not like bombers gonna care of your dogfight performance) and nobody forces you to use Catalina or OS2U.
And remotely capable player in H8Ks, BV 238, PBM-5A and upcoming Spitfire with floats gonna shread A6M2-N to pieces.
Great, for the entire duration of the event, the Zero is going to shred slower planes armed with 7.62s, and if they’re REALLY lucky, maybe a .50cal, and only on the last day of the event will an almost equal be added to the fight to a limited number of players, and it too will be oppressive.
And people forget the N1K1 with more ammo and I believe even better suited for boom and zoom.

no N1K1?, also i wish the US got a playable SC-1
You can play the N1K1, You just don’t see it because it isn’t as easy to abuse :P
But yeah there are a total of 13 aircraft you can’t take since they are limited as naval scouts only and haven’t recieved the OS2U treatment yet.

So why are these fighters allowed but not the Bv-238? The fighters are just going to snap off their floats and then massacre everything…

The BV 238 (and N1K1) both show in the list within the game
(not the full list, just the bit showing those two)
ye but then they cant land and cap bases.
out of those i think (based on armament and speed) the only viable ones to be tech tree are
-SC-1 (although i much rather have the SC-2)

-Osprey Mk IV
-Aichi E13A1
-E8N2
-Ro.43
-Loire 130C
