The F-20 Tigershark should have access to AIM-120s

The F-20 historically has access to AMRAAMs, as its 4th prototype was to be fitted with the missiles. The BR that the F-20 is placed at is also unfair, if the F-20 was to be given AMRAAMs, its br can be raised, but if not, its br shoukd be lowered. Gaijin devs should take this into account as the Tigershark is unfairly placed and not equipped with the right missiles, as the F-20 should be able to carry 4 AIM-120s.

Great then no, I’m tired of only specific nations getting planned equipment, we already have a Yak 141 esq F16XL with countermeasures it can’t use

The F-20 ingame is incapable of using the AMRAAM as its radar cant fire them

the F-20 prototype that would have been able to use the amraam was prototype number 3 which was never build because the programm got canceled

what we have ingame is the 2nd prototype

also on a side note
if the F-20 got AMRAAMs it would be 13.0 where it would do far worse than its current br

Next thread: “It’s unfair for this aircraft to fight the Rafale and Su-30 with the lower-performance AMRAAM!”

Let’s give up on equipping the F-20 with the AIM-120 and wait for the pressure to be reduced through the expansion of the BR.

To be fair neither is F-16XL that had mock-ups literally bolted to the airframe… and was cancelled 2 years before F-20 was. I believe that some sort of consistency should be in order, if F-20 and Yak-141 didn’t get future planned weapons, neither should F-16XL and vice versa.
But considering that gaijin is consistently inconsistent and picks rules based on their personal preferences and ideas, chances of such equal treatment are slim to none

go play the jf17, exept the f20 only has 9Ls, oh well. thats what it would play like

it would play worse imo
aside from the IR missiles

you have overall worse avionics in the F-20 as well

Was, it didn’t get them, again i dislike fictional vehicles like these, it never got them this it’s fake. Same with the Yak 141
