and also courtesey of DEFYN
Gaijin will see these and rush to add SUU-11 gunpods as a bandaid to boost F-102A’s gameplay stats and then ignore everything else wrong about the F-102A for the time being.
Alternative option: Gaijin will see these and ignore everything, just like how they ignored bug reports about the F-102A for the time being, and let it rot like forgotten planes such as the Vampire do.
Band-aiding the F-102A with SUU-11 might be generous to Gaijin. :/
I like that this content creator actually made the effort of trying to understand what was wrong with the plane and looked up the issues with it on the bug reports/forums.
I can see the gunpods, aim-4ds and aim-26’s being added in the near future once all the other more visible issues get sorted out given that they are already present in the game and barely need any effort to implement, but most of the other issues have been present and unchanged even before the f106 was added, so i don’t expect anything on that front.
This plane has so muchhhh potential, but gaijin just keeps giving a blind eye , sigh
we did get an accepted report for rocket EEGS, so maybe they’ll go somewhere with that sometime, maybe if or when they add the F-86D
Peak selective realism
This ain’t even selective realism at this point, with the AIM-4G/F and no AIM-4D it’s outright fiction lol
Remember to mention the F-102A in the survey and explain how you would like to see it improved.

And post the link to this thread!
Drop tanks, hull drag being too high [F-15 & Mig-35 mentioned], F-102 issues, heli PVE grind all mentioned in my feedback.
I hit the nail right on the head with this one
10 days to forward for review, wow
would have been longer if I hadn’t asked a techmod to look at it specifically
Why can they just retexture the RB28 and copy paste it onto the F-102A, then make a radar guided version with the same flight model. Boom, AIM-4D and AIM-4A.
Right?, I seriously don’t understand what the devs are thinking at all times it’s seemingly such an easy fix yet they basically argue in bug reports and give stupid reasons for their decisions.
Another important feature is the logic behind the infrared seekers on guided missiles. Currently, they are guided to the geometric center of the aircraft, which can result in ineffective hits on large aircraft (likely hitting an empty fuselage section). We plan to change this logic so that the infrared seekers are guided to the hot engine area, which will make the missiles’ impact on the aircraft more localized and, for larger aircraft, more lethal.
Unfortunately, there are no mentions of fixes for radar-guided missiles like the AIM-4F and the upcoming AIM-4A.
Edit: He responded. They are looking into the radar-guided Falcon.
