IF you would like to burn your SL’s on the SL crates, here are some of my suggestions to maximize your results over the course of the event:

Some of my suggestions to maximize your SL gains during the SL Crate Events:

SO! Just in case you did not know yet, premium vehicles DOUBLE the effect of SL boosters! During the SL Crate events I can make as much or MORE SL’s than I did in the previous 2-3 months. If you really really want to push the SL crates, I would highly suggest getting premium time. I just get the 180 days of prem time 2x a year when it goes on sale for 50% off, only $20. $40/year, or $3.33/month. (If you don’t already have prem time, and don’t mind spending a little, you could get like 1 month for the crate event, and then get the 180 day thing off webstore during the Anniversary sale.) It is NOT on sale right now, so $40. But on 50% sale drops to $20: Gaijin.Net Store - Premium account for 180 days

With prem time+prem vehicles+all the SL boosters you get during the crate events, you can easily get twice as many crates (and twice as many chances at vehicles) than if you didn’t have prem time, or use prem vehicles.

Second advice for those SL boosters, do NOT double up on the SL boosters unless they are going to expire. And do NOT spend all of your SL’s on crates during the first day/week! I only buy more crates when I run out of SL boosters. The RP boosters are something like 2x or even 5x more common than the SL boosters, so I will double or even triple up on the RP ones so they don’t expire like crazy. But the biggest boost for me was forcing myself to spread out the crate purchases over the entire month so that I could use up the SL boosters and get MORE crates over the course of the event.

Happy hunting bro!

And some more gud advice from Rinhord:

Yes, it’s pure advertising. Forget about the unique and stupdly funny looking art for an Watermelon-painted bomb for the Loot crates. It has nothing to do with advertising, you don’t see any special days for carving watermelons but putting cookies and milk for a old man and giving scary faces to pumpkins.

The idea of an explosive weapon that resembles an watermelon makes sense considering that sometimes watermelons tend to explode under certain circumstances. Or the Plants Versus Zombies game character Melon-pult.

This map published by World Mapper shows that Pumpkin production is more common than Watermelon production. I don’t think that’s a “pernicious advertising culture” because there’s no advertising behind, or perhaps indeed there’s a Watermelon-painted bomb out there and I don’t know yet.

I’m sensing some childhood bad experience involving a watermelon… :D

The seedless ones are common enough I thought?

Plus it’s a great contrast to the succulent, smooth nature of cantaloupe and honeydew when mixed together in a refreshing fruit salad.

Well… depens what u want,

BUT if have them and dont need to buy smt new, then everyone should consider buying the advanced crew or whatever the name was. The one u buy for every verhicle again and that gives you an insane performance booster.

With having better matches you automaticly get mire sl again, so it pays itself

The odds, based on large sample sizes I collect are 250:1 on a single box for a vehicle (25:1 for a batch of ten). 10% of those come as coupons (so 250:1 on a 10-box pull). 15 million SL per vehicle basically.

You’ll see some people say it’s 200:1, but these tend to be on smaller survey amounts, or ones that rely on player-self reporting, and players tend to report not getting stuff less than getting stuff, which pulls the apparent odds up.

Those odds haven’t changed significantly since they redid the interface mid-event in February, 2024. Before that it was about 500:1 for a vehicle, but ~20% of those came as coupons, so the overall coupon drop rate then was about the same as now.

All the GE lootbox stuff Gaijin appears to have been directed by legal or whatever to put precise percentages on odds this year. SL lootboxes they appear to have decided they still don’t have to.

The one “super rare” vehicle each time when they have it, which gets the “0.001%” asterisk, means it only shows up one time out of every 400 vehicles, or 100,000 boxes (since the base odds are 0.4%). It also has a coupon form, which is probably the rarest thing possible, which if we extend the 10% chance would drop at a rate of about one per million SL boxes purchased.

However… 13 IS-7s went on the market yesterday, which suggests at that drop rate (assuming a multiplier of 2 or less on how many were immediately put to sale) players bought 15-25 million SL boxes yesterday between us, removing a little over 1 trillion SL from the player economy, if that’s the actual drop rate.

(Sounds crazy, I know, but then again how big is the player economy? Well, we know from Gaijin there’s 120 million games a year. If the average earning after costs from those is 10,000 SL per player, and average 30 players per game, that makes for annual SL earnings for the entire player base of ~35 trillion SL. So, 1/30 of a year’s total SL earnings, spent on boxes in one day? Not entirely implausible.)

Because people who don’t get stuff don’t talk as much about it.

If you’re trying to improve your odds of a specific vehicle over the 4 box events per year, or avoid those 1 million SL returns when you already have it, this chart may be helpful. For the last ten events these groups have been basically fixed (adding a couple of the newest vehicles to each one each time):

Spoiler

Obviously this is also potentially useful for deciding when to sell or buy these vehicle coupons on the market as this is when the new “stock” of those coupons arrives each year. Also if you’re just trying to get coupons, saving SL for April makes the most sense, as everything in that event has a coupon option.

BMD-4! One of my favorite light tanks! I got the BMD-4M the second it went on sale too 😄 I love all the BMP/BMDs, but those BMD-4’s are just soooo much fun. If you have not used one before (or the BMP-3 much), they have hydro pneumatic suspension! Not only up/down, but forward/back tilt! REALLY helps to use some forward tilt to offset some of the typical RU “bad” gun depression.

ALSO! Both the BMD-4 and BMD-4M have IRST, awesome for air targets, and absolutely devastating for use against helis.

Happy hunting bro!
