Unlikely, as they (Mk. 2 > Mk 1, and it’s not close. At all) use entirely different technologies.
Mk.1 has repeatedly been stated to be superior in normal radar applications, and worse in EW. The different countries just have different priorities. Only because Mk.1 is called one and not two doesn’t mean it’s worse, they’re just different radars
with that reasoning you might as well argue radar performance doesnt matter cuz of 16v16, which is obviously not true
Mk2 is also part GaA and Gajin hasnt modelled that
Why should they? The games “simulation” is way too shallow for that to matter in any way, so it doesn’t make a difference ingame if the transceivers are made of Si, SiC, GaAs, GaN or even the experimental AlN or exotic InP. It shouldn’t even matter in a more complex simulation as you only need the signal-strength, -agility, -frequency/bandwidth and -quality, not the way it is generated or in short: Everything that comes out of the radar, not what happens inside the radar.
yep, thats my point.
They dont model it so Mk.0 would be of the same performance, except it gains 10° of FoR
The benefits of the Mk.1, be it the improved signal strength of GaN or the improved SAR mode, simply dont exist ingame
It’s a shame that gaijin doesn’t care about what’s being discussed here.
Im new here in that threat. What source have gajin that the mk1 have only 90 and not 100
What do they dont understand at +/-90 it could be more
They say also on mk0 over +/-90 so the coverage is on them the same but gajin dont understand it
Until a representative of HENSOLDT shows up here and gives you the documents (marked secret), everything else is useless; you just have to accept that the German Eurofighter is worse than the others.
I think with mk2 they also say something like +/-100 which is why gaijin introduced them like that
Hensoldt, the developer of the Radar says FoV +/-90°, so no, Hensoldts own Words are blocking that Idea of it beeing more than 90°
Come on dude, added 10 degrees for the radar is not even in the same league of buffs as what AMK would provide in the current meta.
Incorrect. You should understand the difference between FoR and FoV. Sichtfeld (German for FoV) means the Radar cone covers +/- 90°. This nothing todo with Field of Regard FoR (Erfassungsbereich in German which is CLEARLY not what they talking about on their website).
The FoR can be much higher like in the Russian Su30sm2 for example because the Radar itself can be mechanically or electronically moved. Captor-E’s mechanical gimbal allows the whole radar array to point far off the aircraft’s centerline far more than what electronic steering alone would allow. This gives it a field of regard of roughly 200 degrees without having to turn the aircraft itself. FoR is the overall region Captor-E can cover by combining that beam movement with mechanical antenna rotation. No data is found which would suggest, the Mk1 is not capable of achieving 200° FoR and Gaijin keeps ignoring that. You all act like its not a big deal but having the option to slightly turn in and out of Notch without losing lock or track is massive for any Fox3. 20° is massive and will make the German EF2000 much worse.
Nope, you are…
Because I just repeated what Hensoldt says to us…
You want to see ragebait?
Visit all those threads with mimimi, German EF trash because of only 90°…
Yet I was one (+ a few others) who tried everything with proving the 100°…
Yet we cant prove it…
Like i think it 100 but no matter what you say or argue that primary source is going to cuck you
Listen. I been following this post for a while. I been looking for information like everyone else yet everything suggest from what you can gather as information, the FoR should not differ between the Mk0, Mk1 and Mk2. Besides the vague information we have about any of those radar, there is nothing that could proof the Mk1 being worse in that regard.
Now what would be the fair solution if you consider game balance and overall fairness? Well what about you just make every EF equal since we are not sure about how accurate this data is anyways. My point, no direct proof make it equal, we have military equipment in the game nobody knows barely anything about might as well balance it logically now and make it fair.
Naa but you right its probably better to have one worse EF so people get mad because they once again decided to grind the wrong nation in terms of balance for the same vehicle…
