No, 5°/s is the T-90M aiming speed, 40°/s the fcs speed.
The Oplot’s aiming speed is 1°/s. Gaijin are using the 3.5°/s fcs speed

You can always make an official suggestion in the suggestions subforum to change all MBT’s to use aiming speeds instead (1°/s Oplot, 5°/s T-90M, 10°/s Leo, etc)
That and transmission power losses would be an interesting change to the “run and gun” pace of top tier.
But that’s completely separate to Update Tusk Force. For now, they’re using FCS speeds, 3.5°/s for the Oplot, 40°/s for the T-90M and Leo’s, etc.

Every tank has their own set of limitations. Depression, reload rate, reverse speed, etc.

For a tank with a combat rating of 12.0, this is unplayable.

The top tier USSR lineup is T-80BVM, T-80UK and T-80U. Two of which have 4.4°/s elevation drives
3.5 is not unplayable
The T-80U’s are much better than the T-90M and T-72B3A

No they are not, the only redeeming factor about T80U is the reload and mobility , otherwise T90M beats T80U in every other category.

War Thunder is a very specific kind of gameplay, favours mobility and firerates the most
The T-90M and T-72B3A have a bit more variety, but the T-80’s are better in war thunder gameplay

Maybe for you but in terms of general Gameplay T90M suits at top tier much better than T80U family.
