the black night has a upgraded fcs from the normal challenger 2 in the upgrades to help accuracy in night environments with the Safran PASEO commanders sight integrated and the gen 3 Leonardo thermals.

bvvd said it should have the thermals but doesnt rn but i feel the apfsds is so its not to high

You’re right on the commander’s sight, but the gunner’s thermals are still through the Thales Optronics TOGS (I mean hell, it’s still there.)

Is the target tracking entirely a software difference?

with the addiotion of new stuff to the dev server other bugs can arise with older vehicles
(also pardon to 10 trillion posts as i dont know how quotes etc work)

terrible idea, imagine logging onto dev and finding out you’ve been assigned to make sure the fcm.36 has no bugs.

this i do not know and im guessing gaijin has more sources than me around it but from what i know more of the fcs (the entire electronic suite) was upgraded so it could be that (could also be some sole part of it could be upgarded allowing it)

Hey guys. The changelog was also updated with some sound changes. Please be sure to also let us know your feedback on them:

Sound

  • Tanks with gas turbine engines now sound more natural at distances of 80 m and beyond. In terms of audibility, they are now on par with vehicles with internal combustion engines, or even slightly less noticeable.
  • The tracks of other players’ tanks now sound louder and more noticeable.
  • Bomb explosion sounds now muffle other game sounds at significantly shorter distances than before. Accordingly, engine sounds are also muffled by bomb explosions at distances significantly closer to the explosions.
  • The firing sounds for the player’s aircraft cannons now correspond to the number of simultaneously firing guns of the same type, especially if they are not firing in sync. Previously, the firing sound of a cannon was independent of the number of units installed on the aircraft.

i mean IFV’s and SPAAG/M were already such a threat, that Helicopters are easily taken out.

Quad ADENs on the hunter sound hot.

Such a threat that a 12-kill game from 1 or more players is no longer a rare sight because a DIRCM-fitted heli at long range can just win every engagement? not so sure.

all of these have sounded nice when playing the dev server at least to me but i still do feel that if aircraft engines could have a different slider of volume if possible by the devs as playing with people and spectating like a gripen is deafening then ground engines are quieter in equivalence when spectating it would be a general improvement.

Joke’s on you, turns out the FCM is the only vehicle in game that’s perfectly modelled, it’s just everything else is OP.

i tested some of them
tracks change is great and the bomb explosions also good but other 2 i did not notice anything!?
