Unrelated but, The Strv 81 and Strv 101 both had Turret mounted AA MG mounts IRL, Yet they are missing in war thunder- And they should be added to help fight against lighter targets and helicopters-

@Smin1080p_WT are there any internal discussions about adding the radar or ir mode for the brimstones this update?
I would honestly leave it as it is, lowering it to Br 7.3 or 7.7. It’s ridiculous that the UK ends up having three SPAAs at Br 8.3-8.7, while the Br of the SPAA just before it is 5.3.
Still makes me sad.
We have more pictures of it with R-77 than with R-27 (I am yet to see one with R-27).
Genuinely would probably for one get more sales with R-77 and two finally be correct in terms of loadout with these options…
Was so happy to see a MiG-21-93 or MiG-21UPG come to the game just for him to not have his R-77 :(
Personally i think they should make it 2 different versions, the current one at a lower BR and the radar version being foldered under it

I imagine that’s what usually happens: copying and pasting is free, but modifying a 3D model takes time, and since this is about creating something historical but without any financial benefit, it gets forgotten in a drawer, and those looking for historical accuracy can look for another game.

Ive just seen the datamine by gzabi, if the agm 84k is going to be added there should be really no reason to not add stage 2/3 brimstones since germany, italy, sweden & britain lack sufficient a2g weapons.
But did the Falcon actually have a radar? I haven’t found any pictures of it.

There is no IR mode for Brimstone. Mmw is not currently under consideration.

The kh38 didnt have IR either so why not brimstone, instead of mmw so they get something since it wont come for some time.

Kh-38 does have an IR variant. Brimstone does not.
