Do any of our current A2G weapons use IIR seekers?
If not, I could imagine that Gaijin isn’t adding GBU-53s, as those would be laser-only otherwise

Yes. Most of them use IIR.
It’s also irrelevant. We have LGBs in-game and yet no Laser-SDB for ‘some reason’

Yep that true. Thats why the artificially nerf a2g weapons, like the agm-179mr which also uses mmw, laser and iir irl but ingame gets a laser version and an ir version.

IIR just means Imaging InfraRed, if it’s TV guidance in the IR spectrum, that’s IIR.

Bro, what I am saying is that if there are no IIR weapons in-game, the only guidance that would be left is SAL and I could imagine that Gaijin doesn’t particularly care about adding a laser-only glide bomb
