The Dev Server is Opening with Major Update “Ninth Wave”! — 02.03.2026

Because Russian tanks have the turret drive on the turret ring, in the vast majority of cases. Y’know, as far as humanly possible from the point of deformation. They are completely different design doctrines, and this is generally as well modeled as they can be short of only counting rounds that pass through the hydraulics attached to the basket of western tanks. The autoloader being damaged on Russian tanks is significantly more detrimental after the first shot than a lost horizontal rotation. The tops of the autoloaders are also reinforced quite significantly.

anyone got the performance of the 120D yet

Me happy

Huge buff to the Black Prince, really excited

It is currently a carbon copy paste of the 120C-5 except with 30 seconds more battery life. Even with finished stats it’s gonna have the same exact performance. AIM-120’s didn’t get an engine upgrade after the C-5 until the D-3. The missile is an absolute nothingburger.

the extra battery doesnt even do anything, like 150 sec of flight time doesnt matter if ur missiles suck
which i already know gaijin gonna gatekeep it

Russian mbt’s crew will rotate with turret, right? U may say its reloader is seperated from the rotation, but what caused the crew rotate with the turret?

I expected it’d have DL reconnect and would only turn on its seeker right before impact but nope

GNSS in War Thunder is just 0 drift IOG. It’s irrelevant and doesn’t do anything. They added this missile for absolutely no reason it changes nothing over the C-5.

nah,u just unable to reload but still able to fire back if u have one shot left in ur barrel, but NATO’s tank will only be able to stand there and wait for death

we already expected that tho

Yea which is why it makes even less sense to me as to why they added this missile. They could’ve just added the D-3 or buffed the 120A/B/C-5 to have better HOBS capabilities.

I feel like your position here is due to a skill issue. It is not hard to bait a bad shot from a T tank with a disabled autoloader when you’ve a disabled horizontal drive, at which point the T tank has lost and you win. It’s not hard.

You realise there’s an armoured plate above the autoloader, right? The crew are not just bolted straight into the autoloader.

Is this B-26 Marauder sources used for the A-26 Invader, or am i stupid?

bro have forgot if ur shoot by side or lower front hull,ur driver/engine and rotator will highly possibly be killed/broken together,i think if its ur skill issue to think RU MBT is such weak?

u metioned a plate over the reloader right?so what connected it with its rotator?is that a structure like basket?

Confusingly A-26B/A-26C were re-designated B-26B/B-26C when the USAAF became the USAF.
JD-1 was the US Navy designation, that definitely gives it away as being about the Invader rather than Marauder

Ah, yeah. It got even more confusing when i searched the source and it produced pilot notes for british Marauder IIs. Cheers!

Any update on the Yak-141 getting its R-73’s? Any chance of the R-77?

If you’ve ended up in that position, that’s your fault. Russian tanks are objectively inferior in game to Western platforms, with the exception of chemical protection. If you can’t grasp this, this is on you.

You know you can look up how they’re fabricated instead of insisting on being wrong and wanting a fictional article modeled? The turret is free of the autoloader. There is a plate above the autoloader, depending on the variant of the loader. Below that plate, assuming the variant facilitates it, is the autoloader. There is no basket to be found on these tanks, and whilst both turret and loader are lifted into place together, they are not directly attached, with the T90 being an exception from my research.

Got to love the addition of introducing a new SPAA for Russia in the BR gap of 12.7 to 12.7
