“objection, hearsay”

the source literally self contradicts. “minimum launch range will be about twice that of other contemporary radar missiles” yet it also says that this missile is maneuverable in dogfights
the “for dogfights” section mentions features that are made for general air combat and is what the missile needs to be succesful at all - again, nothing to do with dogfight performance

considering the source contradicts itself and is a personal opinion it wont be accepted by me nor by gaijin.

You realize that “dogfight” is used to describe close range A/A combat right? The minimum range of a sparrow is around what ? 2nm? So instead… 4-5nm minimum launch… Such contradiction… Do you think Richardson is addressing a fighter pilot or a politician here?

Gonna just omit the entire bit that states such is “because the rocket motor has been optimized for long range performance” eh?

Such has been said about the AIM-7F but that missile is fine in dogfights, all this means is that the missile does not sport a high initial boost motor and thats it.

good go use your aim-54 in a dogfight when the minimum engagement range is 4-5nm and the effective engagement range is significantly higher lmao

not only that but there are cases when officials are simply in the wrong. they said that the patriot missile had great performance against scuds and it turned out to be wrong. there is no evidence to support their statement of the aim54 being great at dogfights and it is probably similar to that of the scud incident when people are just talking non sense publicly

“Do you think Richardson is addressing a fighter pilot or a politician here?”

Have you ever tried not strawmanning?

as a matter of fact why dont you tell me whether hes a fighter pilot or just someone who works in the air force - the people who talked about scud being effective in the scud scandal were also from the military side yet werent the ones who operated the patriots in SA and talked sh*t

@ItzMikeyzWRLD where is the transcript/whatever from ?
