You are just so anti-US lmao. You didn’t even check to see if everything was implemented correctly first. What a jump to conclusions. Not the first I’ve seen from you.
wdym?
Like this problem I doubt will get fixed in the short term, it’s not seriously affecting game play in a lot of the situations.
i meant wdym planes flying by actual wires tho?
Like Su27 is FBW but it is currently flying by an actual wire like a string pulled, I meant they are both wires but one is to control hydraulic action through electric signal and the other physically pulling the hydraulics.
Im not sure what the problem is… Either way, if it’s destroyed, you lose control of the specific surfaces…
Do you just want gaijin to model more things in game so things have to render more? I don’t get it.
Hydraulics have better redundancy and a smaller(?) profile from traditional cables. It would make pretty much every jet from the Crusader onwards slightly more survivable
(Assuming they don’t model literally every line in the same module like they have done with cables)
More like hydraulic drives are much bulkier than electric drives and if the complaint is that the hydraulics are too big a target… well then, what are you going to do about it?
But whatever you want to think…
This is beyond a hydraulic pump conversation. You regularly shit talk the abrams and called it a shitty design lol
Are you talking about the hull armour? Becuase it is. The Leopard 2 hull is infinitely better for achieving the same intended purpose. It could be worse though - at least it’s not as bad as the CR2.
You shit talk the abrams so much you dont even remember which part i could be recounting.
Damn. What else have I shit-talked? Forgive me for seeking clarification.
Hydraulics do not have a smaller profile - cables are much smaller than hydraulic lines - but hydraulics can apply a great deal more power, which is required due to the increased effort required to deflect control surfaces at high speeds.
Hydraulics CAN have better redundancy - but only if you fit multiple systems - and hydraulic systems are heavier than cables and more prone to damage.
I think that try to fix 30% US WR and insta lost when US is on team is some what important too for the health of the game.
And yes, this pump + turret ring, in my vision, is what really makes abrams sucks.
Good point, but I mean part of this is clickbait problem, too many noobs rush into 11.7 with no experience what so ever and just one death quit. I mean look at France, they are so high up in win rate just because they have no premium MBT. I currently play China and Germany so I have had like 3 games on my friend’s Sep but I could see the problem, I would think the situation would get better when China/France/Sweden get their 11.3/11.0 premium.
i agree, in parts, with the noobs problems. In parts bc all 11.3 premiums have ± the same amount of game played and only US have 30% WR. Maybe bc more new players buy click-bait and more experienced players buy the others 11.3? I sincerely doubt it, but its something that is only speculative and i think that the proportion is the same on all 3 11.3 (noobs vs experience). But that is only my vision on this specific matter.
As an USA main my self, its really frustrating lost default 70% of the matches, even doing a really good match. I just want to abrams to at least have a chance to fire back when the enemy place a bad shot on my tank, as today, its impossible bc the pump breaks 90% of the time when i dont die direct (even the 5sec reload is useless in this situation, which is very common). Also this will help the noobs too.
And complementing with the turret ring, the only real gameplay that works, today, on 11.3+ abrams are the hull down position, and we have good portions of maps that you cant play that way, or you just cant stay in sniper position all match bc you are not helping the team.
I would say USA has two problems, 1 ABRAMS is a tank that needs more experience to play well in, unlike Russian ones which can tank more shots. 2 USA somewhat like Russia needs a lineup of more vehicles, F16s F15s AH64s but unlike Russia, USA need to rely on that but they don’t, which makes it even more unfriendly for new players.
And considering that, thats why im here asking to fix the pump, to turn abrams a little less unfriendly/unforgivable.
You will still have the same armor, same firepower, same tank but with the ability to fire back when the enemy fuckup. Bc as i said if the pump break you cant do nothing more than press F and wait 30 sec to repair (with ACE crew), and since it is on the center mass of the tank, any shot/spall will break it.
Its the most unforgivable part of this tank. That can make the situation a little better if they fix it.
Same as the turret ring, today, the 10.3 abrams already have a ring that can stop low calibers which 11.0+ abrams dont have (proof: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1e5wr2f/why_did_the_first_m1_have_better_turret_ring_than/). Plssss, give us, at least, the same M1 ring for other M1A1/A2.
I mean I have not yet experienced M1 not being able to fire back yet, I have played many matches in ZTZ99A and it’s always my autoloader/breech that is letting me down, so I do get the frustration.
I’m not trying to deny the situation with the autoloader, which is also frustrating, but at least you still have the loaded ammo from the cannon, and, with a bit of luck, you can aim, shoot and kill the enemy. Without the pump you just dont.
not to lie, there is the rare situation in which the cannon locks at the necessary position to be able to aim at the enemy, then all you have to do is maneuver the tank and fire, but you can count on your fingers when this has happened (the cannon always locks aiming at the ground or in the air) and that if the engine and breech didnt break too.
