Trust me, you don’t want the 2 extra aim-9s.
The gun is what mainly gets me my kills anyway. The missiles are just a nice bonus.

even though I have this plane its the Mavericks that always obliterates my tank, especially because I use the t-80
that things top armor is paper especially against a gau-8 30mm

You are in a br where you have 30G missiles against mostly no flare planes (10.0 and downtiers). How you not getting kills?
Also enemy planes only having rear aspect missiles…

to be fair, you’re never actually gonna kill a flareless plane if they don’t let you kill them.
every flareless plane the A-10 can face is significantly faster than it and has significantly better options for positioning
You can wait at the bases and intercept a flareless plane that went bombing. For example, a Mig-23BN.
that’s gambling, not a secure way to get kills
ontop of that, any bomber has a good chance of being in-and-out before you can even cue a missile
I would rather it lose aim9L and agm65 and have it go down in br 8.7-9.0
Also please don’t use google ai or wiki for sources because they aren’t acceptable for game changes I would recommend looking for photos or pdf files and also under google books to find info and make sure you check the distribution statement to make sure its okay to post
removing mavericks removes like 3/4ths of what makes the A-10 a good CAS platform to begin with.
ii wouldn’t mind it having 4 AIM-9Ds or something and being at or under 10.0 but there’s not much reason to remove the mavs

I don’t think this true you will still probably have access to it’s bomb/rocket computer and the gbu8 not to mention the 30mm Gatling gun with gun computer. No airplane has agm missiles lower then 10.0 thats fire and forget
It practically is at 10.0 since it’s 10.3 right now and idk about the aim9 that would be up to what it carried in irl and if it would be balanced
Yes their is it’s a fire and forget missiles and no 9.7 spaa would be able to shoot it down with the range the mavs have even if they could shoot the mavs them selfs it will still be broken not to mention the 250 cm’s the a10 carries
there’s a handful of planes with AGM-65As and other F/F bombs at or under 10.0.
also, going for a strafe with the GAU-8 is a good way to get instakilled by an SPAA
Their is fire forget bombs at 9.0-10.0 witch is why I didn’t say it would also need to remove its gbu’s and the lowest br for fire and forget missiles or even laser guided missiles is at 10.0 (excluding heli’s)

pilot doesn’t matter nearly as much as the SPAA does.
good evasive actions are nullified by an SPAA user who knows how to aim
I think it would depend on the pilot and spaa user but at range it’s not hard to dodge spaa as you have time to react and ir missiles aren’t a problem for the a10 unless it’s the strela or osa or anything like those so like I said it would depend on pilot and decision making and play style
