Tbf, most of the time players just have 0 situational awareness. I’ve sat there pinging where the enemy is and the whole team ignores it as they farm us from behind. But seeing how Gaijin put “effort” into this rather than fixing game breaking bugs that have been reported and accepted for months, I can’t say I’m too surprised how this game mode is.
I don’t know how many problems and annoyances would be solved by them finally implementing a proper pinging system or simply markers air markers are still ridiculously bad to where I can hear a jet before I get a marker sometimes it is absurd.
It’s such a a meh mode for something that’s meant to be a little fun
Expecting that Gaijin will make a good mode.
I can support this view. I’m also not saying we should not have them at all, I know a lot of people like them. So fair game to you.
Make good use of the fictional tag and we can all be happy.
Just not a big fan myself of garden gnomes, fireworks, silly hats and neon lights, for me they feel out of place. But Gaijin hardly makes use of fictional tag for decorators.
While on the other hand we can block all decals. So why not decorators (except camouflage if need be).
I think part of the air marker issue is their rendering system. I’ve got aced crews and still don’t see them pop into existence until they’re close. All to counter the cheaters (ironically enough, I got a year long chat ban in game because I called out a potential hack to watch out for so people can report it. Love how I went to the moderators with literal screenshots from Gaijin Support saying I was within the rules and still banned).
Yeah, I agree, let people use them, but let us turn them off if we want, this one is especially annoying due to the high-pitched whistling sound it makes. And oddly I can only see the fire works in thermals so there is just a constant invisible banging and whistling all over the map, it’s very annoying
@Stona_WT If you would be able to ask the Dev’s to add the Fictional tag to the Fireworks Decoration ASAP, it would be greatly appreciated by many players. Thank you very much Sir.
@Cloudzy26160 @AuroraBoreaIis @pooqich @Dontkev-psn @Strafenhoernchen
There is a bug report for the Firework Decoration’s lack of the Fictional tag. Please everyone click over and click the “I have the same issue” button to hopefully bring this to the attention of the Devs ASAP:
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/qiA6wznGEvPu
While I absolutely adore this decoration, I strongly support any player who wishes to hide them for themselves. The addition of the Fictional tag will be the quickest and easiest way to achieve this.
Secondly, there are some players who would like to make a mod to hide the Firework OR at the very least mute its sound effect. But they do not have the name of the Firework to add the appropriate code to a mod. There is a thread @DexterousAlloy made where he has/is trying to make a mod to mute the Fireworks. If anyone knows the name in the code for the Fireworks Decoration, please post the info in @DexterousAlloy 's thread:
Devs: please also share the name of the Firework Decoration to give players another option to use a mod to mute the Firework Decoration, as there are some players who do want Fictional Decorations/Camos turned on, but just want to mute the Firework’s sound effect.
Thank you!
EDIT:
Thank you!
There is also an Bug that it does not work on Multi vehicle SAMs

Thank you, I’ll add my support to the report.
The funny part for me is the actual firework animation is invisible for me already, except in thermal sights, so it’s just a bunch of random noise all over the map.
Absolutely, 100% for letting people have flashy decorations, ostentatious camos, silly decals, anime profiles and gooner sights. But also 100% for letting people choose to turn it off and play a more realistic looking game.
Im also all for people slapping body pillows and big bright Signs on their tanks, just let me have the option to toggle it :)
Does the fireworks launched by this mortar cause damage to players?
Just hurt feelings.
I pray whoever designed this mode without taking into account the fact that people/teams will genuinely harass you to have the single worst Christmas amd New Year ever
UPDATE:
“Fireworks exist IRL” 🤣 What a silly response. I might make a suggestion post. I would advise everyone else NOT to make a suggestion thread until we have had communication with a suggestion moderator to ensure it does not immediately get hidden/denied. I will attempt to contact a suggestion mod today if I have time; going to be a busy day for me though. Not going to be around the computer much, it’s harder to write and add the appropriate info from my phone.
If someone else does start a private message conversation with a suggestion moderator please add me to the private message thread so that we can work together and not start duplicate private messages with the suggestion mods. If I am able to get a reply from a suggestion mod, I will add appropriate users to my private message thread. Feel free to send me a private message if you are willing and able to be part of a constructive conversation. I do not want this to turn into a complaining session, I want to give us the best opportunity to have this issue addressed and solved. Thank you.
This is such a huge nonsense…
Many things exist IRL, just not slapped into war machines and used in combat…
How do these people stay employed??? “think of ways to piss off the player base” must be an actual position at Gaijin, there is no other way an idea this stupid not only falls through the cracks but gets actively defended when it’s rightly pointed out as being stupid.
they do this for free
