There are tandem charge atgms that can counter era by having a first detonation that prematurely detonates the era. Why don’t more countries make tandem charge heatfs shells ? Would it just be worse than the atgm or is it just not worth the effort

I have no doubt that somewhere a Tandem Charge HEAT-FS has been deisgned or even made for test purposes, far from what I know I don’t think there are this kind of weapon in active service.
While being more expensive, APDS-FS ammunition are faster and lighter, perfect for ballistics, it’s like shooting an arrow or spear. There are already APDS-FS ammunition capable to counter explosive reactive armor so its kinda of an accomplished doing a Tandem Charge HEAT-FS for tanks.
Usually these kind of warhead is made for portable anti-tank weapons such like the Panzerfaust 3. For tank fired Tandem Charge HEAT-FS in my opinion is not worth the effort.
