So it was, in fact, build in metal? My god i want that.
Given that the 120mm gun will be more reliable than the 155mm, it will likely have to be at 9.0-9.3 unless they significantly extend the reload. Granted the T58 does decently well even against T72As with a halfway decent player in control of it.
Uh no. The T57 would not be 9.0, let alone anything higher. It would pretty much be an autoloaded M103, tops would be 8.7. Unstabilized, no LRF, no APFSDS. The 279 would 100% be better and it sits at 9.0. Also, to say the 120 will be more reliable than the 155 when the 155 has HESH, is laughable.
Only if the 279 had it’s APDS and was obtainable in a practical manner.
Didn’t know the 279 had an APDS, I’m gonna have to look into that. As for the obtainable part, I wish everything was “obtainable”, and I put that in quotes because Gaijin will tell you it’s all obtainable currently, they are very ignorant. Gaijin likes to do this thing, where you ask for something and they will say “you have this already” and proceed to point to what you aren’t talking about.

279 should not get the apds round it does not need it.
this will lead to br increase.
am not sure of these are really good source i got them from online old post in wt page it’s from a book but the book got removed by the owner for copyright reasons.
To be fair I could pay the $1600 price tag, but I would only do that if I had a guarantee I could keep it, meaning I would want deletion of inactive accounts removed, deletion of accounts in general to be far less likely and support for community servers so that I could keep it after official support ended.
There are far more entertaining and lasting things I could rather get for that money.
Back to the T57, The T58’s HESH is very unreliable due to bad game programming, but is more resistant to uptiers, while the T57’s 120mm AP would be far more reliable in most cases and even then an M103 can one shot a T72 in the LFP. The 120mm AP would also have a much flatter trajectory than the very slow HESH of the T58.
Currently the T58 is not very likely to disable a gun on the first shot, it can oneshot any MBT in the Side, but that is not guaranteed due to the tendency for the game’s damage calculation to not handle explosions very well. A T57 firing AP could more easily hit barrels, could penetrate the turret front of pretty much any realistically obtainable tank other than the T64A and T72A and would also be quite decent against anyone who would expose too much of their side.
I mean true, but people shouldn’t have to dish out that much money just to acquire something people got for free several years earlier. In fact, nothing should cost anything if it was free before, but more realistically, not a single vehicle, should cost more than $60 tops. $60 can get you hundreds of new games, that are guaranteed to be better in quality and have better community-developer relationships. I would much rather pay $60 to play war Thunder, than to watch my favorite vehicles get locked away for anywhere from $60-$2000.
As for T58’s HESH being unreliable, I disagree. The T58 being moved up in BR recently isn’t just because of its reload, I would say it’s largely due to its HESH round (and the ability to fire them rapidly I suppose). When I play T58, I only carry HESH, it really doesn’t require a whole lot of aiming (skill) for weak spots to use. The T57 being at 9.0-9.3 would mean in full uptiers, it would see 10.0-10.3. So 10.0-10.3 with no LRF, thermals, APFSDS, stabilizer, armor worse than most MBT’s, and it would probably be the slowest vehicle at that BR as well. Gaijin really needs to consider adding the BR’s you can see to be +/- 0.7 instead of 1.0, that would fix A TON of balancing issues.
Well regarding the skill argument, I often use my T58 at 500-1000m where the HESH is less reliable and rangefinding before engaging is almost required. At 400m and below I would agree about accuracy.
I tend to avoid city fights because of how difficult it is to control sightlines in there. There are ofcourse exceptions such as the maps with larger buildings though.
As for HESH reliability, Tracks and even unused modules often eat up the entire blast due to the game not handling explosions well.
Yes, just because USA don’t have any free tech tree tank with oscillating turret
