I meeeeean, least gaijin could do is make it a little bit usable…
Surely now that we know it uses a new transmission, gaijin would be willing to at least not just copy and paste the old gear stats.
But then again again, it’s still gaijin…
+1 not sure where though
It’s a similar deal to the TAM-2C, sure the user was Vietnam which would indicate inclusion in China, and the hull is based on a T-54 which would indicate inclusion in the USSR, but EVERYTHING in this tank was upgraded with Israeli technology.
It’s the ship of Theseus, except it’s a tank. Not a single original component except the frame itself remained. imo it should go to Israel, both China and USSR have enough export T-54s they can have, this one is unique enough to not be considered copy-paste and a worthy addition to the Israeli ground forces.
It being upgraded with Israeli technology has no impact on if it’s added to Israel or not. The T-72AV TURMS was upgraded with Italian technology via Officine Galileo. But we don’t see it in the Italian tech tree.
This is untrue. Links are what determine where a vehicle goes, and gaijin can choose any of the existing links to provide a vehicle with wherever they think it’s suited.
The links that take priority are operating nation, as if the nation which the vehicle belongs to (in this case Vietnam) is a main nation, a Subtree, or a nation placement (like Swiss was and Argentina currently is), the the vehicle will go there accordingly. If it is none of these, then the next links are underlying origin (Soviet union in this case), national proximity (basically nations that act as a Subtree in essence but aren’t, cough Pakistan), and any nation involved in the creation or upgrading of the vehicle (in this case Israel).
As such, gaijin could add the vehicle to the Soviet Union based on the origin of the hull, and China for the closeness of the nations. Despite that, Israel still has the modernization involvement claim. This vehicle would not exist at all or in this fashion without Israel, so trying to discredit its claim is a mute argument.
Any cases regarding this yet in WT?
Because I just can’t see Israel getting a Vietnamese T-55 🤣
When you look at the heavy supply of modifications made the to tank, it really wouldn’t be out of place in the Israeli tree.
As noted in the suggestion, one prototype was built by Elbit, meaning such a vehicle could be added under the Israeli flag as a prototype ingame, while the suggested one here under the Vietnamese flag could be added elsewhere if needed.
Would rather just see it added to China or something.
Vietnam to China is method for DOOM
(Though I guess Phong khong T-34 is already there)
The only other would be the Soviets but this doesn’t add anything. So maybe in some tech tree including Vietnam.
I could see this as a Israel Premium but I would prefer it to be in a Vietnam sub tree under a united Korea Tree.
I didn’t think about that, Vietnam under Korea would actually be a great idea.
What I could see if Gaijin wants this as soon as possible is make it a event Premium for Israel but add it later to Vietnam sub tree under United Korea like they did for Israel tanks where under USA.
This vehicle is important to Vietnam concerning the T-54 upgrade program as it tells the story of the whole program. However this upgrade was a bit more expensive for a T-54 as just buying a T-90 would have been better.
North and South Korea would support their appropriate sides during the Vietnam war South Korea would send troops and North Korea sent pilots and lots of guns. Vietnam in the 90s would buy submarine tech from North Korea and is getting K9 SPG from South Korea as of late. (We getting a K9 in Soviet Green!)
