T-34/76B (T-34/76 Model 1942).

History.

The T-34 was a medium tank, and is one of the most famous tanks of World War II. The tank was produced in over eighty thousand examples and performed most of its service with the Red Army. The tank began to be adopted by the Soviet ranks in 1940, and over time the tank was updated and improved to make it more efficient. The Volgograd tractor factory began producing exorbitant quantities of the T-34/76 in 1940, which were immediately included in the Soviet ranks and were shortly thereafter used to contain the Axis advance during Operation Barbarossa. One of these tanks, a T-34/76 Model 1942, in use by the Red Army in 1942 was captured after a battle by the ARMIR, the Italian Army in Russia, and was captured by the 52nd Group of the 120th Artillery Regiment of the 3rd Infantry Division speedy. The tank was also inspected by General Italo Gariboldi, and after this the tank was classified as a command tank with Savoy crosses painted on it to avoid cases of friendly fire with the Germans. Over time and as the conflict continued negatively and the retreat of the Italian forces, the tank was lost by the Italian forces and was most likely destroyed during combat.

Armaments and propulsion.

The tank had as its main armament a 76 mm M1940 F-34 cannon placed in a rotating turret, with a coaxial Degtjarëv 7.62 mm machine gun and a machine gun of the same type mounted in the hull. Up to 77 rounds for the cannon (of the APHE, AP, APCR and HE) and 46 magazines for the machine guns could be carried.
In terms of engine, the tank was powered by a 12-cylinder 500 hp Diesel model V-2 (B-2-34), which allowed the tank to reach 54 km/h.

Does it get german ammo?
(7,62 cm Pzgr. 39 7,1 kg 625m/s?)

Sure why not, would make for a neat Italian Premium. A +1

Now that everyone has a Sherman, it’s time for everyone to get a T-34. +1

Doesn’t look like it was rearmed wit the German gun and no mention of being modified for it, so I’d say no - just captured Soviet ammo

From what I know, no german ammo was used on this tank.

Doesnt need to be modified, germany used in the normale guns their produced ammo in 385mm shells.
But i thought i remembered that germany gave something to Italy. But aparently not ammo then.

They did, but not too much.

It needs to be modified to fire the German ammunition - the case for the KwK40 is 75 x 495, so cannot fit the T34 gun.

You are under a couple of missconceptions here.
The modified guns (7,62 cm Pak 36, Pak 39 and Fk 39, are bored out to a 714mm casing.
But guns such as the Fk 36, Fk 288 (r), Fk 296 (r) and such were kept as is with 385mm cases and still fired the german produced 7,62 cm projectiles.
Best example Sd.Kfz.6/3 with the Fk 296 (r)
(A completly unmodifed F-22, which went to Fk 36(r) a modiernized mount but still 385mm casings, to the Pak 36 (r) with 714mm casings.)

The T-34 in german service ALSO recived german ammo, with standart 385mm casings. I allready did a report some time ago, that the german shells are missing.

Sounds like a premium to me

Why would it? Thanks to Gaijin magic, the soviet BR-350B shell is outright superior to it in every regard. Too bad Germans were not smart enough to just copy it’s design instead of making their own, more complex and difficult to manufacture shell. /s

Or event. Sadly.
