Swedish 1.7–2.3 20mm Vehicles: BR Reductions Needed After Pen Nerf (42 mm -> 38 mm)

Ya no.

Warthunder from the get go is an arcade game (like the game that shall not be named) but with good realism paint covering it, you know that premium stuff. Just that over the years the paint was tinned to much, or not enough care been put into it so it’s flaking a bit, but it’s still kinda there.

But in the end, warthunder is no where close to ACTUAL realism games like gunner heat or dcs, or il2 planes and tanks, or the countless boat sims, point being, warthunder never has been and will never be a realism vehicle game.

You mean their Tigers wouldn’t wreak destruction on the US M4s, or the tanks of any nation besides the USSR?

Lol. This is like the only favourable German vehicle and it doesn’t matter because T1 Heavy Tanks go down even lower. The T1 Heavy Tanks go down to near M3 Lee level BR.

Panzer IV H, Wirbelwind, Ostwind, Jagdpanzer 38, etc goes up to Tiger II BR. Panzer IV J is going to T32 BR.

I could keep going on. Pretty much all German rank I and II are going to get dunked on. Say goodbye to time travelling ammo as well. The allies pretty much stay the same or get drastically better.

The British, French, and Soviets love these changes. You’re just killing low tier Germany, low tier Italy, low tier Japan, and low tier Sweden. Just to have a 4.0 - 4.3 BR Tiger I.

Would the french really love this? ARL44 ACL1 fighting early pattons, AMX-50 and friends are only going to be against mbts that are at minimum the same current br (no more downtiers to dunk on king tigers). Don’t get me started on the M4A4 SA50

French Rank I and II is getting massively buffed or unchanged. B1 Bis and 2C go down to 1.0 basically. Rank III would just be reliant on lend-lease with a few post-war vehicles getting the stick, which is accurate to RL anyway.

AMX-50’s are 1950’s vehicles and 7.7 currently, which is already around M47 and M48 Patton. So they’d barely move.

The B1 is the only one I’d see being strong. The 2C may be even worse because now everything is a ratty light tank, and the lend lease vehicles were given to France later in the war once stronger vehicles were already in service with others, causing the French Sherman 75 to be put against Sherman 76, late KV/early IS, Tigers, etc

That’s not how these “BR by dates” work. All these people use production dates, so a French 75 and 76 Sherman would be the same BR as the US ones.

No? The first prototype was delivered in 1942 (never went into full production), while the M3 Lee was put into service in 1941.

All correct (1944)

Not quite; Ausf.J was 1944-45, while the T32 had its 4 prototypes produced from 1945-46

I’m not super knowledgable on the others, and I can’t be bothered doing any more research, but I do know that Sweden wouldn’t be killed, it’d be brutally tortured for all eternity; The Ikv 72 would be placed slightly below the Strv 81, and be facing T-54/55s. The Pbv 301 (Bmp 1 w/out the ATGM) would be above the Soviet Bmp 1. You would get the vast majority of your RP from dying.
By killing the low tier of a nation, you’re killing the whole tree for new players.

Poor Chi Ha with 57mm infantry guns would be bouncing their historical ap shell (heat shell was far after Chi Ha introduction) against KVs and Tigers

This is from December 1941. Doesn’t matter if these vehicles never went into full production, War Thunder uses prototypes.

You clearly agree it’s a bad idea. So I really don’t understand your point.

You were the one that wanted historical BRs??

That’s not historical BR’s. That’s not wanting vehicles of different eras at lower BR’s.

To give an extreme example it would be like someone suggesting a Humvee with a .50 cal as a 1.0 SPAA. It’s about maintaining a reasonable degree of immersion.
