No reason for new MBT’s as of rn the 122’s are more than acceptable. Id rather see lower BR’s get spaa or new vehicles. Additionally more aircraft would be a huge help at the lower BR’s. If you are a part of the community that believes sweden is the beloved younger child of the game who gaijin will never hurt or abandon then they should be screaming that because sweden has nothing really to add that gaijin will give them questionable vehicles like Finnish Mirage 2000, or Norwegian trialed KN20.
I don’t believe they will do this because claiming they are loved was cool last year and the year before when that was true, for now i have yet to see any evidence of sweden getting unfair treatment and i realistically dont see them adding Norway or Denmarks vehicles outside of maybe more premium CV’s.
As for a squadron aircraft the only option would be the SHS37 or SH37 which are naval models of the AJS and AJ respectively. Both vehicles have pretty poor states so i think its unlikely they will get a squadron air vehicle.
As for helicopters i dont think gaijin will touch this ever again, the only reason they would is if Norway and Denmark are added. Denmark can add a 9.3 helicopter and either Norway or Sweden could add the UH-60 and with the rule that has been used for multiple nations that allow vehicles that could use x equipment to get it. So they could replace the AHS with a UH-60.
As for tanks Finland can added Sisu or patrias for 8.0+
Again as it stands now until we see Gaijin put any care into the air tree any hopes for new vehicles should be set to zero as the tree is one of the most poorly handled trees in the entire game as almost every vehicle has the wrong name, loadout, or performance. Regardless this is not the topic.
Id say wait for gaijin to announce if a 5th air line will be added as rn that is the most important thing gaijin could add to fix the TT.
@dotSHINI would you also say it makes the most sense to focus on the light tanks produced from BAE and Patria rather than more MBT’s? Imo i have no interest in top tier as much as WW2 and i think air throughout the entire TT is in a worse spot than anything else on the tree. Also makes more sense to focus on light tanks than MBT’s considering sweden imo doesn’t need anymore, maybe after other nations get some more top tier lineups and Germany gets maybe another or 2 more Armored Leo’s then id say maybe sweden could get another MBT but i don’t really think they’ll need it.
Honestly i couldn’t care enough about sweden besides screaming to people about idiotic mbt takes. I have no idea about their lights cvs and patrias. Outside my field of knowledge
From all good addition Sweden can have this year or any time soon, it’s not top tier. Regarding ground vehicles, as I’m not a air vehicles-main player, Sweden could have, if the Gaijin’s ground vehicle addition were more ‘loose’ vehicles like the Emil I aka. Proj. 6400 aka. Strv Kranvagn could make into the game.
In-game, the Emil I would work just like the AMX-50 Surbaissé or the AMX-50 Surblindé, it’s a decent armored vehicle to its BR, and probably the Emil I would have better armor and probably superior values compared to the AMX-50 Surblindé, and probably slower.
All armor values are available for the Emil, we could actually get the AKV 151, if you haven’t heard of it i recommend it. It had the 800hp engine so it would be better armor and more mobile than the Bkan thanks to the Kranvagn chassis
It has 23 hard points. 12 for A2A meaning a max of 12x Aim-120s can be carried + AESA radar
That is a very powerful combo at the moment that would push the goal post forward even more.

These nations are fine at the moment and are fairly well balanced.
Sweden, Soviets and Japan are the ones left a bit behind at the moment. Whilst Gripen C and F-15J(M) are just about hanging in there. They really need 14.0s before long. So
Su-30 for the Soviets
Gripen E for the Swedes
F-2 for Japan.
After that, then you can start looking for another giant buff for the US. Though I really think the focus should be on flushing out what nations have currently rather than moving forward again. (Like finishing previous vehicles or adding missing vehicles)

Well, to be fair, a good chunk of those are the CFT hard points that are only good for small iron bombs. Only 7 I know for sure can carry guided A2G, maybe 9 if the outboard wing ones can handle the weight. And there are only 8 a2a hard points, just that some of them (inner and outer wing) can carry double amraams
Hornet would be very interesting with early 9X though (TVC 9M with better seeker)
That would have to come with block 2, block 1 is basically just a TVC 9M (so r73 turn performance but bleed energy quickly) with an IIR seeker, not really comparable to asraam
Maybe, but I think its more likely the US will see things like the F-18A, F-18C, A-6 for the TT, etc etc this year. Probably ending the F-18E in December.
Id rather have C 1st update of year, A or A+ as premium 2nd update of year with the F-16E/V/C, E summer, FB-111 fall, and YF-23+new F-15 or F-15s October, with F-22 december

Realistically gaijin could just add the NG since the NG is just the E model, have the NG with the MAWs Raven radar, voice warning ect but the difference with them being the missiles. Its really the o ly way i see them doing it. Biggest problem is getting gaijin to undo their nerfs to the gripen FM, rn it is another jack of all trades and master of none. We have the viggens like that we dont need another vehicle doing that.
Likely not going to happen unfortunately, honestly i can see the Gripen E or NG being top BR only for its missiles while being worse than every other fighter in every regard thanks to gaijin nerfing it repeatedly over the irccm missile meta
