You can technically use factory names. T-10 something. Then you’ll have T-10M for Su-27M and T-10BM for Su-35. And Su-35BM is just a prototype of Su-35S and export Su-35, it isn’t a separate project.

My dear bud, a developer accidentally said in a live stream in June (that they are considering bringing the final variant of the SU-35 to Russia in 2026).
The Su-37 and Su-35BM were both part of Sukhoi’s long-term effort to push the Su-27 family far beyond its original capabilities, although they belonged to different stages of that evolution.
The Su-35BM (T-10BM) appeared as the next major step in this evolution. Instead of simply continuing the Su-37 design, Sukhoi took the lessons learned from the Su-27M and Su-37 programmes and created a much deeper modernization of the original Su-27 concept. It retained the single-seat configuration and thrust-vectoring capability, but removed the canards, introduced the much more powerful AL-41F1S engines, a modern digital flight-control system, the N035 Irbis-E radar and substantially improved avionics.
In other words, the Su-37 demonstrated what an extremely maneuverable thrust-vectoring Flanker could do, while the Su-35BM turned many of those technological lessons into a far more practical and modern combat aircraft. The Su-35BM programme ultimately evolved into the production Su-35S that entered Russian service.
