I think the very fact that it is consistently listed in the same external pod trials alongside the Damocles is enough to show it was a real product. It would’ve just got dropped since Damocles was selected, hence the lack of any recent images of it equipped on 29/27’s - but i would suspect nowadays its entirely possible the program is up and running again since that deal fell through with the french cause of a certain conflict.
If gaijin add Su-27SM in next major update. I might believe new monster CAS for USSR tech tree and better Su-25SM3

J-11A MLU or J-11B, but both are not so good at CAS
they can take Kh29T and Kab500r, but not sure they can take thermal pod
in fact, j11amlu is completely different from j11b, while the latter, type B, has full ability for CAS and the same laser pod as jh7a. And it also has many air-to-ground load, more than kh and kr series
j11b has new radar, rwr and the capability to launch pl12 and pl8b and many other msl
j11b is built by PRC，not by imported parts from RU

Wouldn’t say a new monster, F-16C imo still has it beat a tad due to payload count but
4 x Kh-29L/TDs (3 if it has SAPSAN-E)
1 x KAB-1500L/Kr
4 x R-73s
would be very enjoyable to use, though i personally think Su-25SM3 will still be much more effective for SPAA sniping and abusing helis

hard to say which AGM/bomb F16C take is payload, but im sure that AGM65D is not, and that F16C has less payload in FnF weapon
why not, though agm-65d bad at killing mbt, still good at kill spaa, you can lock 12km away, fire and run away, and you get 6, more than anyone, or 8 if you count gbu-15
problem for 27sm is, it has no ir f&f, so I say it’s only useable, and fun(if with air-fuel 1500kg bomb)
just sayin, I doubt we’ll get the OD model of the KAB-1500Kr, we’ll just get the regular one like we did with the KAB-500

That is not the loadout for the jet we are getting however, Su-27SM has only 10 pylons
If I recall correctly, that chart is for a Su-30 variant
This is a chart for SKM, which is just an export SM model
