maybe Russia should have constructed a strike fighter with thermals then, since the Su-34 is not one of those
Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection
They have used i believe Litening III on their mig29k if i remember correctly it might not be their mig29ks but i remember seeing them use western pod on russian planes
Su-30MKI, MiG-27UPG
Su-34 CAS and interdiction better MiG-29SMT (9-19) ?
It’s MiG-29UPG from Indian
In CAS yes, more weapons and targeting sight. In interdiction in game it’s questionable.
What is this answer to?
Maybe me about a a Indian mig with a thermal pod
only Mig-29M/35
The India has mig35s only thought they had the mig29k
su34 doesn’t have thermals? Didn’t knew about that =O
India does not have the MiG-35, only Russia
Then why did you mention it does the mig35 have a thermal pod
Because it can use it. MiG-29K, UPG can’t.
Oh ok i was a bit confused
Oh ok
So unless the pilot turned off the G limit and AoA, he was faced with a vibrating control stick and increasing force on the stick. If he pulled more, did the system also have what is called a stick-kicker ( automatic AoA reduction, like MiG 29 )?
Yep,only to execute Cobra limiters are disabled
Just waiting for something like the Su-25SM3, that gets a really good optic and thermal imager. There are no excuses though, the Su-39 should already have a thermal pod.
OPR and stick kicker are the same thing. It leaves a gap between the stick pusher and the stick, and the gap is determined based on the AOA and G limit values, and also AOA rate and G rate to close the gap in advance if the rate of change is too fast. When the gap is closed, vibration and additional pushing force is transmitted to the stick and can be felt by the pilot.
