Smin said this patch they wanted to focus on these nations that were left behind in Top tier, part of me thinks this is BS, Gszabi’s leak included J11B and J10B if i’m not wrong, but it ended up not coming, most likely this was a rushed update, to them the Eurofighter, Rafale and Su-33 were enough. But now with these new 14.0, we know that Russia will get something aswell very soon, as from what i was expecting and with the leak from Olivia, RUS will get Su-30SM, i feel like it’s gotta be coming in March Update.

Wanted a bit of feedback since the FM change of the SU-27 !
Afaik it has less speed bleed and the SM got better engines right ?
How well does the Su-27S fair against the SM with better engines ?
I assume low speed performance it’s good now.
negligible difference id say. smhas more power sure but its also a little heavier

It is much better, less speed bleed makes it very satisfying. It’s possible to dance in the air around your enemy, a beautiful sight i’d say.
The only issue is the supersonic overperformance but laziness won’t allow the devs to fix it.

Yeah, gaijin tends to make everything overperform by a good metric or the other way around, at least it’s a good change ;)

I’m actually so happy with its changes that i started playing regularly again, idm new modern shit early 4th gen is where i belong lol. Now i need my improved fulcrum ;)

in war thunder canards gives some kind of superpower for the planes that have it

i’d say, many planes need solid supersonic performance in ARB because it’s often just hit and notch, not a 1v1

Not really. Su-30SM is just the domestic version of the MKI. It’s Bars N011M and AL-31FP’s. SM2 is N035 Irbis and AL-41F’s.
I think we could see Su-30SM as the next big Flanker addition, then Su-37 (assuming they let it be a TT), then Su-35S and Su-30SM2.
I’m not a big Fulcrum guy, so I don’t really think about them being added, but I think we’re going to get another one next year. If I was betting on the next big three additions to the USSR/Ru line next year, it’s going to be Su-30SM, MiG-29(M/K/whatever is PESA/AESA advanced), and the Su-30M or something filler-ish, and probably in that order. I don’t think we’ll get Su-37 or Su-35S or Su-27M next year. I only say not sure on the Su-27M because I kind of think Gaijin might not add it, and if they do, probably as an event or premium vehicle.
So do I :)
I would be quite happy even if we get a new fulcrum that behaves well in the next update.
